It's funny that this thread has touched upon it. Because I was just thinking last night with recent Zona auditor NDA lapse Pima Maricopa boom, Racine Wisc boom, Antrim Mich boom, WH asks Ga Judge seal audit boom, watch CA, and now Durham,etc..
That in the coming months and years, markers, deltas, and past proves present/present proves past..
Folks would start to request the Q and Election threads return intact.

I know it's been going on IRL. My point was that the practice of bad guys using in-game chat functionality to communicate/coordinate was such a poorly-kept secret that it was used as a plot device in TV shows.
Your inclusion of Al Qaeda as an example is spot on, since we're talking about the prospect of closeted Mohammed apologist John Brennan (you know, former CIA Riyadh station chief) as being one of the 5 otherwise anonymous folks implicated in the chat.
Where on earth could Red Faced Johnny ever have picked up this technique?

Cursory search leads to a CIA black site wiki (apologies for such a shitty sauce, but I've got a dozen plates spinning this morning):
Of note is that Kalid Sheik Mohammed was purportedly detained at one of these.
In my mind, open discussion in what was believed to be a secure channel further implicates Brennan as being a participant.
I should've included this in the OP, but it was long enough as it was: AEWP is Adam Entous (Washington Post).
Also notable - Dooku talks right out of the gate about potentially blackmailing Rod Rosenstein to keep him quiet.

The CIA official who led the hunt for Osama Bin Laden is being removed from his post, it has been revealed.
The head of the agency's Counterterrorism Center, who also directed drone campaigns which killed thousands, has been in the position for nine years and is described as a 'true hero'.
His move is part of a major restructuring under CIA director John Brennan, and ends a tenure which has seen the center become a paramilitary unit, The Washington Post reported. The official, who has not been fully named by the paper as he is still undercover, is a convert to Islam and is believed to be in his 50s.
Known by his agency identity Roger, he presided over a campaign of espionage and armed drone strikes that have killed both terrorists and civilians.
Many of Al Qaeda's most influential leaders have been slain under his leadership, but the main threat has since shifted to ISIS.
In a Post profile written in 2012, he was described as chain-smoker and 'not at all a team player' by colleagues.
He was also the basis for the character 'The Wolf' in the film Zero Dark Thirty and is said to have spent hours on the treadmill reading terrorism reports.
But agency spokesman Dean Boyd paid tribute to the senior official as news of his departure surfaced.
