CUBA IS NEXT
The US Senate voted today on a resolution from Democrats that would have stopped President Trump from taking military action against Cuba without Congressional approval. The vote was 51 to 47. The resolution failed.

Senators Tim Kaine of Virginia, Adam Schiff of California, and Ruben Gallego of Arizona introduced the bill. They argued the US blockade of Cuba is already a military action and Trump needs Congress to sign off before it goes further.

Republicans Susan Collins of Maine and Rand Paul of Kentucky voted with the Democrats. John Fetterman of Pennsylvania was the only Democrat who voted with the Republicans to kill the bill.
Trump said in a Miami speech in March: "Cuba's next."

The blockade has already worked. The US Coast Guard and Navy are stopping fuel shipments from reaching Cuba. Most of those shipments come from Venezuela. The island is now suffering water shortages, power outages, food price spikes, and medical supply problems. The communist government is under real pressure for the first time in decades.

This is the second Senate vote like this in two months. Democrats forced a similar vote on Iran. That one failed too. The House is expected to force its own Iran vote this week.

Here is what nobody is talking about. Democrats have not put forward a single foreign policy proposal of their own this year. Not one alternative plan for Iran. Not one for Venezuela. Not one for Cuba. Not one for the border. Their only move is to stop Trump.
Trump moves. Democrats try to block. Republicans hold. The pattern repeats every week.

Venezuela's Maduro fell in January. Iran is in collapse. Cuba is the next domino. Three dictators down in one year because Trump went forward and Democrats had nothing better to offer.
Now everyone knows.
