The inflation rate quoted today included gasoline prices yet during the years of Joey Biden gasoline prices were not included?

Energy prices were a drag on inflation during most of biden’s term.
For the last 2.5 years of biden, the inflation metric with energy and food included was lower than the metric with those two excluded.
