Try calling one your black co-workers "boy" and see how that turns out. Compare that to one of your white co-workers.

Same words, so how could it be racist right? Go try it, I'll wait.

This is nonsense.

Even if you don't want to call it racist, trump's tweet makes no sense. He couldn't even explain it at the presser. It's just nonsense

As logical as suggesting that if America is not currently great enough for you you should leave...or wasn't great enough for you in 2016, you should have left....

Or stay and try to make it better, sounds familiar.

At some point doesn't it get tiring to be like hmmmm well technically this isn't racist....it's just nonsensical, rude, offensive, inappropriate, and childish banter directed at three minorities

If that's what you want to hang your hat on, so be it. Pretty sad either way

Accusations of racism are being weaponized. It should be a much more serious claim than rudeness. It is, however, being trivialized by false claims such as these.

Were I an editor or producer in the media, conflating these terms would be a fireable offense.

Telling a black woman that if she doesn't like something about American that she can go back to where she came from is a textbook racist phrase.

Two northern black women tell two white men from the south, if they don't like the way things are in the north they can go back home.
So the two black women are racists?

Yeah, I seem to remember trump talking about "American Carnage". According to Trump's flawed logic, why didn't he leave back then?

I don't know what the media is saying but his tweet is nonsensical and ambiguous, at best. I just think it's hard to hold other people accountable for misinterpreting your nonsensical, pandering drivel.

Your posts are coherent. It isn't hard. Why can't the president do it?

Ok, I would love to see you run campaigns on getting Hurd and Scott removed from office. That will work out great.

What a strange post. As a person of color, the only racism I have seen in this thread is coming from you.

Here's part of your many problems, DC. You are picking a portion of one sentence, not even once sentence, to scream "RACIST...REEEE!!!!!!" This sentence by itself is not racist.

quote:

Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came.

If this statement was told to anyone of any color by itself, no intelligent human being would call that racist. These are words. Words are not racist. But you are damned sure doing your best to prove that language is racist.

But, if you actually take the larger tweet.

quote:

Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how it is done. These places need your help badly, you can’t leave fast enough.

Its even clearer how wrong you are and how that has nothing to do with race.

Now if we take the entire tweet.

quote:

So interesting to see ‘Progressive’ Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful Nation on earth, how our government is to be run,”

Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how it is done. These places need your help badly, you can’t leave fast enough. I’m sure that Nancy Pelosi would be very happy to quickly work out free travel arrangements!”

Only a moron, like yourself, could call that racist. Which you aren't even attempting. That is telling. It is telling because you are taking 9 words, out of order, and out of context, and saying "see, racist".

quote:

Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came.

You are doing that because YOU HAVE TO, TO SAY IT'S RACIST. So my example of Negro Modelo is spot on. Because only a complete idiot would pick parts and pieces of a phrase or group of words and shape it to make it a racist statement. That itself, is racism. By your rationale, a dictionary is racist, because it contains the buzz words you obsess over.

And to add to that, your racist dumbass says that "it must be racist because these 2 black lawmakers say so". You haven't given any rational explanation of why they are the foremost experts on spotting racism, other than they are black republicans. How does that make them experts?

So you're OK with something allegedly "ambiguous" being called "racist" by professional media?

And I'm not talking about in editorials or opinion pieces. I'm talking about in hard news pieces, headlines, etc.

I'm not a big media conspiracy guy, but this is one of the worst things I've seen.

I see you missed the sarcasm.

But if you think it's so terrible to have people call Trump's tweets racists, then you can express your displeasure with Scott and Hurd. Just because you disagree or criticize doesn't make you less of an American.
