I can tell White is desperate and running scared.

When people realized that taxes were escalating to 11% if his bill passed, I bet he had to go underground.

Thanks to vigilant citizens like yourself getting the word out to us low information people , we would have been caught by surprise. You did the entire community a service.

No one knew 9-2+2=11

These numbers are about as much bullshite as your 11%.

I thought it was the people who are presently living inside the BR City limits who just had a large property tax increase.

Damn, I missed that too . So now our property taxes are going up? Thanks for the info.

Read the bill which is linked in the Advocate's article.

It specifically says the local sales tax portion will continue to be collected and an additional
quote:

amount of up to 2% will be authorized for a transition period up to 4 years.

The Advocate's article estimates the increase will generate $28 million in funding. If there was no increase why would it be necessary to mention $28 million in temporary revenues for the transition period?

No, it does not.

You know how dumb most of us are, help me here.

Didn't BR voters just pass a millage for expanding CATS?

Maybe I'm confused.

He's not going to admit he was wrong.

He's said he has only admitted he was wrong twice. Can you imaging how epically wrong he must have been those two times? I'd like to hear his story on those two times.

But, GFunk hit the nail on the head. On this topic, Russian has been consistently intellectually dishonest.

That probably sounded a lot more intelligent in your head. Too bad it looks so stupid when anyone else reads it......

Perfect evidence that LSURussian is just trolling doubleb by misquoting. See page 4 of this thread for details.

Two years ago, 10.6 mills, not 'large' at all. Not compared to the over 30 mills Zachary increased their property taxes after breaking off from the EBRSS.

I didn't misquote him. I copied and pasted exactly what he posted. Look at the time of his edit of his post. Fail on your part.

You attacked what was an obvious typo. It's pathetic...but very consistent with the way you've argued on this topic.

Unlike some here when I make a mistake, I correct it. I'm not hard headed or stubborn. When I'm wrong I'm wrong.

And I appreciate guys here catching my typos for me.

Great only 10.6 mills. For a stepper that's nothing really.

I realize that, and that's why I look for your posts to straighten me out. I signed the SG petition, I never would have if I only knew about the 11% tax they are going to slap on us.

I'm glad you told me. I'll know how to vote now.

Thanks again for paying for the CATS service for St George. We greatly appreciate your contribution.

You're very welcome. I always try to help the less fortunate.

In case you missed it, the new CATS schedule has almost doubled the number of bus routes and frequency of their buses to St George.

They'd better get that concrete wall up soon before all those "north Baton Rouge" people start riding through the SG neighborhoods.....

I have noticed. The buses are everywhere.

We don't have to worry about putting up a wall, all of the buses are empty.

I really don't understand your post.

We folks in SG are a friendly group. We love to see Baton Rougeans and other folks come to our Malls, shopping centers, car lots, and casinos and spend their money here.

I hope they have a good time, just as I usually do when I spend my money in Baton Rouge.
