People don't seek preventative care as often as they should in the current system and it makes things more expensive for everyone. The left is dumb. Anyone that defends the current healthcare system to the death is even dumber than the left.

Said here many times, but if Rs don't get the lead out of their asses and do something about the increasing cost of health insurance, we WILL have a single payer system within 5 years.
Businesses are being squeezed by the annual increases for insurance. My company just got our renewal rate proposal with "only" an 8% increase. Of course that included increases in deductibles and max OOP expenses.
We are at the point where it is unsustainable and ridiculous. Many of my fellow business owners have moved from the "this is a pain in the arse" stage to bring on single payer so I can simply offload this expense.

Healthcare as it stands currently is fricking shite too and needs major reform, the problem is our politicians both Rs and Ds are to fricking dumb, self interested or both to actually do anything to fix it. It’s just about getting votes and kicking the can so they can enrich themselves. American people get fricked in the process

I was in Finland and had a medical emergency 12 years ago. An Ambulance took me to the nearest hospital, tests were done. drugs were given I was in and out in 90 minutes. I was completely find, cared for, nice English speaking doctors, modern equipment.
I got a bill for it at the company (in Finland) I was working at the time.
Two dollars.

I don't think there is any correlation between how the health care system works in Finland and how it would work here. Too many differences
