I got you, but Louisiana Governor seems like a dead end job, as in, you’re not running for anything else after you leave. Doesn’t seem like anyone leaves that office unscathed. Just looking on Wikipedia, it’s been a while since you’ve seen a Louisiana Governor do anything else after leaving the governorship.

Bobby Jindal had a good chance to be a US Senator if he did not go all in on the presidential delusions, not be a deadbeat Governor and actually stayed in Louisiana and governed like he did in his first term and did not do everything he could to make sure David Vitter was not his successor.

Jindal did the opposite of all that and thus his approval ratings completely tanked and now he's a political has been and nobody as a punishment for that.

There's a reason why he didn't get any calls for a job in the Trump Admin.

Jindal is a good example of why you have to take care of business at home and don't abandon the voters that put you in office in the first place.

Democrats are always demanding Republicans apologize but never ask the same of their own party. That is called hypocrisy.

Also, even the left-wing Snopes said there is no evidence to support Scalise speaking at the event. All of the stories of his presence can be traced back to Stormfront.org. Do you consider Stormfront to be a trustworthy organization?

No mention of his presence was made until 12 years after the event.
There is no record of Scalise speaking there.
A newsletter from the time about the event listed speakers but did not include Scalise.

Of the 2 people that were a part of the organization that claimed Scalise was there, one said he didn't speak at the event but only spoke before the event to an assembled group of people, the majority of whom were not conference attendees. He said Scalise spoke about his policies against taxes and corruption, nothing to do with the EURO conference. The other person, Duke, was not even at the event and said he didn't know what Scalise talked about or if Scalise heard him speak.

I guess the question is, "Do you believe a left-wing rag that couldn't find enough dirt to smear a right-leaning politician or David Duke and the white supremacists of Stormfront looking to gain legitimacy?"

Well mother fricker, he can do that right after almost all of the democrat presidential candidates can apologize for kissing Sharpton's arse. SHarpton is worse than Duke.

Maybe he can build a loop around BR and Laffy with all that money?

If not, why doesn't he have the stroke to help the folks back home?

I used to think nothing but good things about Steve Scalise. And now I don't trust him after his blatant absenteeism from the Governor's race where he never ever laid a broadside or even a single word into JBE being one of the worst Governors we've ever had. If Steve Scalise runs for Governor in 2023, especially if democrats keep the house, it will confirm him as an opportunist looking for a backup plan, and I will be inclined to support someone else, especially after he was begged and pleaded with to run for Governor this year by Trump, Rispone, quite a few donors and business leaders in the state.

So who would you like?

What I would like to see is how Louisiana is going to redraw it’s districts.

Is it possible with our anemic population growth that we may drop to 5 Congressional seats in 2022?

We know Scalise should be safe as will Cedric Richmond.

The seats in western Louisiana will be at play. I would be willing to bet that was why Ralph Abraham ran. He knew his district would likely be carved like a turkey to make way for. 5 districts for Louisiana.

This all depends on the census so you may want to include your dogs and cats as residents to counter all the immigrants in other states.

Agreed.

If Jindal had tended to Louisiana's business for eight years instead of worrying about being president, he would have set himself up for a long, successful career in Louisiana politics.

He got some very bad advice and, as smart as he is, he wasn't smart enough to think it through.

Now he's unelectable.

You support Democrats. A Democrat shot Scalise. Why do you support attempted murderers? I mean, you do need to answer for that Ralph.

No, we’re not losing one - this time. There are a lot of analysts looking at this and LA is is not on any watch-lists.

That doesn’t mean the boundaries can’t change - we should carve Jefferson to pieces since Scalise is so safe.
