Shane Massey, the leader of our Senate, (similar to the RINO twatwaffle the heads up the Senate in Texas) is facing big backlash for his initial stance against redistricting.

Word is that he has now folded after what happened in Indiana last night.

This should get pushed through and put on Henry McMaster's desk, in a couple of weeks, well ahead of the June primary.

If it erases Clyburn from the map then this is a massive win for the Republican party.

Don't forget that Joe Biden lost the first 3 primaries back in 2020 before Clyburn stepped in.

Absolutely true. Clyburn won the White House for Biden ... along with Jessie Jackson.

But, remember, at the same time, The Bushes all came out in favor of Biden. Dubya Bush later approached Clyburn in D.C. and was caught on a hot mic thanking Clyburn for saving the country from Trump.

Ideally, it will happen sooner rather than later.

Last day of the session is Friday, and i seriously doubt that McMaster calls them back for a special session.

I dunno ... we shall see, I guess.

We live in interesting times.

Henry is no dummy.

Also, this session can be extended into next week ... it's really up to Massey and Murrell Smith.

Henry is playing this like a very savvy SC politician truth be known. You can bet there's a lot of backroom good ole boys deals being negotiated right now.

Pam Evette is caught in the middle right now ... this will affect her if it doesn't go through guven that Massey, Smith and McMasters have all endorsed her AND she implies that she has Trump's endorsement, even though she doesn't, not yet anyways.

I like him but we both know the SC governor has little power.

I don’t think Shane’s hesitation was that far-fetched: It is possible that the new map isn’t the slam dunk some think it is.

Also the idea if the Dems take Congress at least we have Clyburn as a senior member.

I'm so jealous of the states who are actually moving on this. Kemp is a nutless queer.

When folks sing the blues that we couldn't possibly postpone the primaries until the redistricting mess gets sorted out because "eArLy vOtInG hAs aLrEaDy sTaRtEd!", it underscores the point of the liberal SCOTUS justices slow-walking the dissents to cause deliberate impact on the midterms.

Even though SC is sadly losing much of its culture due to the influx of yankees, by all accounts the state is getting redder.

Hopefully we'll be pleasantly surprised, but I'm not holding my breath with Msssey and Smith.
And I've looked at the numbers and don't buy their weaker districts excuse

Looks like Mace's district (3rd) would go from about +40 to +20 and in the next few years the1st district is going to turn blue anyway, so we might as well get ahead of that by redistricting now.

Didn't Evette say she was for redistricting?

And I'm extremely curious which candidate Trump will endorse.
I'd really like one that would push for closed primaries and would deputize LE for ICE.
Don't know where you're at, but we're covered up in the upstate.

Not sad to see Clyburn’s race baiting nonsense get the boot. I’m sure Obama will find some grifter “job” for him.

Yep .... well, Clyburn, the Auto Pen, Covid and the fraudulent election, Russiagate, etc.

It was the perfect storm. Gotta hand it to the DEMONcRATS, they pulled it off.

Along with twenty million illegals, the bogus J6 insurrection narative ... the whole ball of putrid wax.
