Do you work in a public library...where Mrs. Johnson at age 70 brings you cookies in a basket and teaches you about the Dewey Decimal system?

All authority is meant to be questioned. It’s how things improve. I’m just trying to do my job. As to this notion that we expect things to be handed to us, I’m not sure where that came from. We’re having to work harder, longer hours to make ends meet because Boomers destroyed the value of the dollar and crashed the housing market.
you people think you are the only generation that has ever “struggled”. My parents are “boomers”. I went to my father’s college graduation when I was 10 years old. My mother didn’t get her college degree until she was in her fifties. My parents are two of the hardest working individuals I know.

They have been married for over 50 years and have the greatest work ethic I have ever seen. I’m embarrassed that I cannot duplicate what they have accomplished.

My father, while living in one state and working in another, would drive back and forth so he could attend night school to get his degree...and btw he had a wife and new born child at at 19.......and yes 50+ years later they are still married.

So all of you individuals feeling sorry for your “position” in life....get the frick over yourselves and be part of solution and part of the problem.

Something that Boomers might actually be capable of doing

The fact that you triggered Boomer snowflakes equate "OK Boomer" with these terms speaks for itself.

It's called demonstrating absurdity by being absurd.

Do you really expect disrespectful behavior in a work environment not to have consequences?

I don’t feel sorry for myself at all and my position in life is actually pretty good right now because of hard work. And there are some great Boomers, I’m sure. But let’s not kid ourselves; 30 years from now, the Boomer generation will he remembered as the generation that almost led America to the brink of collapse. Trillions of dollars of debt that the last 4 Presidents helped amass (all Boomers). Sending people of my generation all over the world to fight in wars that most all of you supported before it became unpopular. And when all of them are retired, social security will implode. I do agree that my generation complains a lot about the problems we’ve inherited, without offering many solutions. We will have to come up with solutions soon and fast to deal with the messes we’ve been left with.

I expect not to work in an environment where people are so soft and shitty that harmless banter is taken as disrespect. I talk the most shite to the men I respect the most, and receive the most shite talked from those same men, because that's what men do. Look at any athletic team for Christ's sake. Everything is a constant challenge to improve. My ego isn't so fragile that any challenge is disrespectful.

When I have had, and will have, to work in those environments, I'm not an idiot, I can tone it down and not banter at all and just get shite done. But it makes for an absolutely miserable time and it's undoubtedly a worse way to live than to be in an environment where you can cut loose and rip each other while still getting shite done.

Are you gonna keep pretending that boomers are all dead or in nursing homes?

The condescension from someone who can’t get basic facts correct is hilarious.

100% true and I would even add that I don't think they're getting solved without a lot of loss and suffering. I've been ragging on these dudes all thread but they are 100% right to say that most people our age are terminally soft and will not make it through the hard times to come. It's going to be up to those of us that unplugged from the absolute poison that mainstream American society shoves down all our throats, whatever your age, from all corners, to come together and meet the coming crises.

You are obviously an outlier for your generation and would be one of the few that would likely get ahead on their own because you have the right temperament to adapt to your environment. Boomers are having to adapt to millenials and zoomers because they are the next work force. As much as boomers are having to adapt, by large, millenials are not adapting. Part of that is likely due to how the boomers raised their millenials because they were told "you can have whatever you want". Either they were never told that you actually have to earn it or they just stopped listening before it got to that point.

If you cant read the room, you are likely not going to enjoy what comes next. (Not you personally. The general "you")
