Yep...we need to bring the draft back and make 18 year old men goninto the military and learn to become men. 30 year olds and under are pussies for the most part and dont know it! Its pathetic.

Without the sense of purpose and intrinsic motivation instilled by a proper family, people will turn to a multitude of things to find their “purpose” or fulfillment of a void.

You can have a good family and upbringing and still be subject to nihilistic hedonism/consumerism/whatever. Man not only needs family, but a sense of belonging to a community, and a common binding mythos.

I would add to this: the removal of the father/mother bond as the most important component of the nuclear family, replacing it with the children.
Parents these days revere their children, attending to, and indulging their every whim. It's all about the little darlings and appeasing them. God forbid they experience failure, or suffer consequences for inappropriate behavior. As a result, an entire generation is now entering adulthood ill-equiped to deal with the real world.
