you don't think the different styles of Christianity that we see created/evolving are just this?

70 years ago it was a big deal for Catholics to get married again after divorce (or hell, to get divorced)

some Christian churches are marrying gay people now!

you don't see certain factions/churches changing?

I do see your point here. However, I think this is more proof of human's morality developing separately from the church and not because or along with it. How can the true fundamentals of Christianity or any religion ever really change? Either it is a sin to be a homosexual or not? Is it OK to get divorced or not? I think the bible is pretty damn clear on these issues. It is not Christianity that is changing, it is us that are changing, because how can the divinely inspired word of God change? Especially when "He" is the same "yesterday, today, and forever"

they change, then religion change, then society changes with the implied permission of religion

the LGBT movement would never have gotten where it has without certain Christian churches supporting them (just like the biggest opponents of the LGBT community are from Christian sects who reject this advancement)

Hmm, well I would like to see anyone interpret these verses any way but one.

"9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God" - 1 Corinthians 6:8-10

"Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination." Leviticus 18:22

"9 I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery.” Matthew 19:9

Then one of us is right and the others are not.

The moment you say that no single religion has the truth, you're claiming the knowledge that you say no one can have. Do you see this? Relativism is bogus.

You're free to say and believe whatever you want. But America was founded by Christians. That's why there are symbols of the faith in our culture. Not Buddhism Islam and certainly not satanism.

Just mathematically speaking, considering all of the gods and faiths with millions of followers throughout history.... What do you think your chances of being "right" are?

Interestingly, it was Christians that were responsible for ending the slave trade, even though other Christians thought the Bible endorsed slavery. Some think the Holy Spirit moved at the right time to change the hearts of Christians with authority to end slavery.

A similar situation could be happening today with homosexuality.

I am sure that there are thousands of people that lived their entire lives under the abomination that is slavery, that would disagree with your "right time" statement.

And I am so glad that we have people like you that can interpret for us which parts of the Bible we are suppose to no longer follow. It is truly nice, I don't know what we would do without you. I guess we would just be lost as to which parts the "holy spirit" changed our hearts on and which parts it did not.

Except ending slavery at other points in history was completely unrealistic. It was a way of life for too long, everyone agrees with that.

You seem to consistently miss that point, however. You stated that Christianity couldn't change, I just showed a concrete example of it changing for the better.
