True and part of his genius.....but what you said is part of the backbone of conservatism.....

Huckster is a swamper wannbe.....I hated huckster as a Pres candidate....he was a bad governor...and was/is part of the swamp.

I sat next to sarah for 3 hours at a fundraising dinner and talked the whole time. She’s absolutely a conservative. She’s also very bright and personable.

Any idea why she refuses to articulate any conservative positions beyond platitudes?

Because I have a few ideas, none of which bode very well for her conservative leadership. See, this is nothing new. It is boilerplate establishment republican strategy. Who are actual conservatives going to vote for if not Sarah? So then why actually speak as a conservative, and take a chance at pissing off the squishy middle? Should sound familiar to anyone with a passing knowledge of republican politics.

Got news for ya. If you're 'pro business' and 'America first' these days you are not only a 'staunch' conservative. You're also a racist, sexist, Nazi.

So your issue is she’s avoiding controversial statements while running for governor?

No, my issue is she’s avoiding conservative statements while running for governor…. as a conservative.

See, conservatism is only controversial to marxist democrats and their propaganda media. When given a full throated voice, and backing it up with conservative action, the people support the hell out of it. See: Ron DeSantis

Hucster's record as governor was liberal as shite.

No it wasn't. It's hard to espouse your conservatism when both houses of your state legislature are heavy laden with democrats. Were you living in Ark. at the time he was governor?

I was. And what exactly about having a democrat legislature makes it difficult to espouse your conservatism? You are the governor of the state. Almost none of the people in the state legislature will ever get one fourth of the votes as you just got to elect you governor.

You espouse your conservatism loud and proud, and when the legislature shuts you down, you go to the people with it.

I don’t really think Huck was liberal much, but he did absolutely nothing to further conservatism in the state, when a red wave was imminent.

I voted washburn but wont trash SHS as she has told us nothing of her platform other than get rid of state income tax and claims conservative. She is a little too silent on current issues. But definitely not voting for a dem in november.

If you don't vote in Arkansas, not a single person cares about your opinion, because it doesn't amount to a pile of horseshiite
