Stupid may not be a choice with you. Doing business with Putin is never as simple or straightforward as you may want to think in your simplistic view. The Russian legal system is nothing more than a tool used to try and seize assets or to confiscate profits usually at the expense of foreign entities.
Forget the whole sanctity of contracts, there is no such thing in Russia. Everything is based on being in the good graces of Putin and only a few of his buddies. At best you should expect 40% of your profits to disappear before you ever see them. Plus there would be the problem of how to value the ruble. No small problem. Before the Ukraine war they were manipulating it and as a result was really limited on the FOREX in terms of trades.
If you want 12 trillion, you better be prepared to settle for substantially less.

Russia would violate that agreement just like it violated Trump's energy truce last month.
