I couldn't believe how many people were saying he was "faking" or "acting" surprised about receiving the medal. I guess when he was being wheeled into the gallery, someone told him he would be receiving it. What people DON'T understand is that Rush is practically deaf and has cochlear implants (hence the apparatus you see around the side of his head behind his ears), and he does not hear well at all in large rooms or where there is a lot of background noise. You can even see in that TMZ clip that he cannot hear Harvey asking him the question and Catherine has to lean over to tell him.

We all get that the dems hate flyover country and Trump. We all get hyper-partisan divide in politics.
But the MSM & Hollywood calling Rush a racist yesterday was disgusting.
What is even worse is not one of them said they wish him well or are praying for him.
It is sickening, they are like demons from hell ugly and full of spite.

There have been a lot of Hate Rush sites on the net for the last 20 years. The racist quotes they attribute to Rush are fake.
I read one yesterday that had 20 quotes. I've been listening to Rush every day for 25 years. I would have recognized a few. I recognized zero.

It sends chills through my body seeing there are still true Americans patriots out there. Whether you like Rush or not, it is great to see the true genuine appreciation and excitement from him to be awarded such a high honor. I wish him the best, glad to see he is positive still when there is so much adversary in his life he could be negative about.

I love how it takes someone from what is basically a modern day tabloid (TMZ) actually willing to approach him with some grace and respect, in order to get a quick statement from him after this event.
