Just laugh when you are paying reparations in a few years.

Roll right on over and take it.

But there's also a chance that enough people want the split that it doesn't have to be bloody.
I wouldn't fight to keep Texas joined with Massachusetts.
It's likely they feel the same about Texas.

Something's brewin'.

East/West America (like Germany) or North/South America (like Korea)?

Can't believe I'm asking this.

Very tired of people blowing shite out of proportion.

Go back to the 60s and 70s if you think this country is in serious trouble or bad off nowadays.

You drunk?

Do you know any socialists?

"Death grip" would imply a significant number of opponents.

Yes. I know a ton of them. Come to a city like Austin, SF, Seattle, inner loop Chicago, Denver; they're everywhere.

Trump must heal the divisions he thrived on to get elected.

Trump must sqash the Antifa communists and use them to grease the wheels of our tanks.

I've been to all those places. The makeup of the people in them is very similar to central Austin, where I live among countless socialists. So I'm extrapolating, but unless you want to argue that those places are more conservative than Austin, I don't see how you can say that I'm wrong.

ETA: your argument here makes you seem like someone who doesn't get out much. I don't think anyone who has familiarity with our left leaning cities would argue against me here. The lady two houses down from me had a communist party of America sign in her front lawn during the last city elections.

Who would have dreamed that Trump could be such a disaster for the country?

excellent point

the idea of a shooting war does seem far-fetched

but history tends to repeat itself & those that believe that kind of thing "could never happen here" are flat wrong

the outcome would depend on which side could grab control of military resources AND on which side that most of the military personnel decided to support

What exactly was built? I saw more division under the Obama regime than at any point in my life. Radical groups formed that openly advocated violence against police officers. Obama openly supported the guy in Missouri who got shot even though evidence came out that showed he was charging a police officer and trying to steal his gun. Violent protests started happening including large groups of people blocking interstates, which is a serious danger to society.

All of that shite needs to go away.

VA Dawg

You are absolutely right on! Obama, who was supposed to bring the races closer only divided us more...with his outright blame on policemen and sticking his nose in incidents that he shouldn't have. And now, how the hoards of Americans that are butt-hurt because Trump got elected and the U.S. presidency getting total disrespect from these sore losers is heart-breaking. A civil war will not surprise me at all...and way back when I was a kid I remember a history teacher saying that a prominent Russian leader once said, "The U.S. will be brought down from within...without a shot being fired from another country". HMMMM

An all out Civil War, no. But it appears that a slouch into much of what went on in the Weimar Republic is unavoidable.

Visit us here in Orleans today and see another of the recent examples of it in its early stages.

They've closed Jackson Square as their only solution to the malcontents that apparently have to be accommodated at any price and no matter the adverse impact to so many others.

It's so convenient. Then the only ones the cops had to warn about their safety were the sidewalk artists and other vendors, and at the same time avoid the possibility of bad images from inside the major attraction in the city going out to the rest of the country.

So now all they need is a way to break it to the tourists about why they can't go into the Square without alarming them, and in the same breath invite them to come back real soon.

He's a lunatic, and so is anyone that agrees with him. The best though, are the people that almost fantasize about having one.

What exactly do y'all think a civil war in this country today looks like?

Hint: It won't happen.

Probably about half of the country, likely more, thinks that everything any media source says is an automatic lie if they don't agree with it.
