I have to choose only one subject? I've been a part of those other discussions. And please don't threaten me. If your pussy arse has the balls to bring the pain, I live in Sunset. The name's Malone. Karl Malone, you dick-tickling fricktoy.

Look, I'm not a liberal, and I'm only joking about him secretly being a liberal. I don't even fully disagree with his statement (though I've seen the movie and it's excellent). I'm just saying that Limbaugh is poison, and valid conservative points are being dragged through the mud and labeled "racist" etc. just by virtue of his association to them. It's time to show him the door, but it's radio and he has more than 10 listeners, so it probably won't happen.

So you love losing national elections? Well, keep it up then.

Likewise. The liberal mindset of the Academy is well established. They are generally biased toward movies that make a political or social statement that agrees with their agenda.

Did you see 12 Years A Slave?

I don't completely disagree with you over all but did you see the movie?

Were the academy going to reward an undeserving movie based on racial politics, they would have loaded up The Butler.

The Butler was extremely heavy handed on issues of race and had some heavy hitters. It won squat.

12 Years A Slave was a fantastic movie and was easily the best of the nominated films.

I fully agree, but my point is about Limbaugh and his ability to poison otherwise valid points just by agreeing with them.

If Rush talks about a subject, and you or I bring the subject up in an argument or discussion, it instantly gets labeled "racist Rush Limbaugh conspiracy."

I'm not Karl, btw. That was a joke. Don't go beating up on The Mailman.

People like him, Sean Hanity and bill oreilly are only selling 5% of what they are saying IMO. 95% of the time they are preaching to the quoir but then they will show their support for some neocon agenda. Sneaky bastards.

Actually, you're right. Regardless of how many people know him on here, you never know who's reading this. My posts are edited. Please do the same.

I haven't seen the movie either, but is it possible that it won because...it's a great movie?

Rush says frequently that he calls out absurdity with absurdity. It's only entertainment. However, he is often right on point with his commentary. But as you've said, he gives the left wing race-baiters and bleeding hearts ammo for undermining conservative unity. If you take his position and use his logic, you are compared to him, and immediately lose credibility.

I agree with your frustration concerning Rush, but at this point politics is all absurd and Rush is fun to listen to because of his general understanding of the liberal mindset. He is not racist or sexist, but he plays the left like a fiddle for his own and his audience's entertainment. For the president, congress, and the democratic party to use him as part of a platform opposing conservatism makes it even more entertaining and embarrassing for the left. But unfortunately much of our country is too stupid to realize his actual context, and will continue to ignore the truth in his words in favor of their own lazy, emotional form of gathering news and making opinions. Politics has become more about emotions and less about facts/results. If it feels good who cares about long-term consequences? If the words hurt your feelings because it challenges liberal beliefs it must be racist/sexist/bigoted. It's unfortunate that the left has used divisive identity politics to prop themselves up despite consistent failures of policy. Rush's words shouldn't hurt conservative candidates as long as they explain conservatism without the abrasive format of the Rush Limbaugh show.
