But America’s overall tariff rate will soar above its Depression-era level back to the 19th century.
I love how they say this with such certainty.
I remember when they also said this same rhetorical bullshite during his first term. And they were wrong then, so why should I listen to them now?

I dont think Trump is really lying to the rubes, he is a dumb arse who actually believes this BS.
on the good side though this will probably eventually flip the house and senate back to the dims who will undo this disaster, though the bad effects will last well past this administration. Its just going to take time to get the economy back on solid ground, as well as the US reputation and good name to be restored internationally. Some of the damage to our reputation and respect from the rest of the world will probably never be regained.

0 is not low. It is simply nothing.
Low is a small amount of something.
Words. They have meaning.
And these are the idiots who think they can run the country better than people who have been creating jobs and managing large-scale finances their entire professional careers.
The are seriously as delusional as the left right now. It's ridiculous how much Trump has broken some of them. I fully believe a couple of them are kicking their pets every time Trump doesn't fail like they predicted.

The Smoot Hawley argument is bullshite
The globalists wanted the US citizens to pay for their war in Europe. The US had already imposed an income tax for the first time in history. And it wasnt going well (national debt increased 900%.. Smoot was trying to level the playing field. But the globalists werent having it. The repeal led to the largest debt in US history (104% of GDP). Which has not been surpassed, even today
Now heres a historical facts that you claim supports your logic. But it doesnt. Smoot was repealed in 1934. Notice what happened on the graph at that point, Our national debt tripled. Not exactly a strong argument on the side of eliminating tariffs. Worked out glowingly for the globalists though

How many small towns would you sacrifice for a 20% bump in your 401k?
I already know the answer is all of them.
Disgusting.
