Hollywood has been so smug and so pious, they had it coming. They deserve the ridicule. Especially when so many knew behind the scenes. Bunch of hypocrites
Yeah, I can agree, but with Moore, wouldn't he fit squarely into the "outrageously hypocritical" category if this were true?

What are you referring to? Serious question, I know nothing about him beyond the Ten Commandments plaque thing.

Well, he's got a son who's been arrested 9 times, so there's no doubting his "family values" bona-fides

Let's just look at the facts and evidence.
1. This story is a WaPo exclusive. Just so happens this news paper is well known to lean heavily left to the point of being viewed a the Democrat's version of Pravda.
2. Roy Moore just so happens to to be an a senate race running as a Republican, which WaPo is known to oppose.
3. This story which has somehow remained secret for 38 years, despite being common knowledge of numerous people according to WaPo, just by coincidence comes out a month before the election.
4. Other than this woman making the claim, there is exactly zero evidence to back up her claim.
Those are the fact that we know. So give me anything to point to this story being true.

How long have the rumors of these things been coming out of Hollywood? How long have they been out about Moore? I don't think it's so much when it happened as much as when the accusations are brought forth. If she would have made this claim in '79 even into the 80's it would seem like more of a possibility. Now, not so much.

I was a little skeptical at first but this might actually have legs.

Someone who is so vocal about his homophobic views including criminalizing it is always hiding something.

This is the reason I wait to see what else drops before I react to initial claims like this.

Definitely, I just think you are seeing people desensitized to the politician allegations.
If you are saying it is based on political slant, then we should also call out the left posters on here that ignore the Hollywood threads or post whataboutisms to deflect.

Please tell me what about this story makes you think it has legs? I mean other than you wanting it to have legs.

Actually, it's their old tried and true strategy. It's one that Obama used to start his political career. Lying is what they do...spread a rumor close to an election, or close enough to throw the opposition off and let the doubts begin. Harry Reid lied about Romney's taxes. When asked about it, he smiled and said "He didn't win, did he?" Slime is slime is slime.
you're confused

Rather telling that the prog posters are jumping all over this but largely ignore the hollwood threads

So now yall are defending specific allegations of pedophilia? Well, you folks are exactly what I suspected.

Well, Ole Roy might have been a little hard on the beaver a couple of times...
Not saying he was but it could explain his screw up of a son but more than likely, it is "preacher's kid" syndrome...

"Let's look at the facts and evidence, but first, let me discredit all of this by saying it is from WaPo"
Reasons it could be true:
-4 accounts that support one another (Moore tried to romance young girls)
-It's EXTREMELY COMMON that politicians get hit with buried scandals upon reaching the peak of their career
I admit I don't know if it is true. You won't admit you don't know if it is true.
The only direct evidence we have consists of the accounts of these women. Which could be bullshite. But the entire body of your evidence is 1) It's WaPo and I don't like WaPo and 2) timing. You could actually add Moore's denial as a piece of evidence on your side.

Progs like juiceterry think if your kid does something bad, then you can't support good family values.
I know, that sounds absolutely fricking retarded, but consider the source.
