After the Butler shooting, I entertained this idea. Still kinda do. If he is in on it, think about how brilliant the play is. Since November 1963, they have ruled by assassination and by labeling anyone who questions their absurd stories a “conspiracy theorist.” So hoist them on their own petard. Stage assassination attempts, even if you do it badly, to boost your chances and rally your supporters and dare the creeps and crooks to call you out on it. No way in hell the NYT or any other Mockingbird outlet ever investigates the shootings adequately because that would require admitting that men lie in concert with one another on a grand scale. They can’t admit that because it opens them up to vicious counterattack. Just a thought.
