Also, Rosenstein escorted Mueller to interview for FBI Director with POTUS on May 16. POTUS decided he wanted a fresh face, not someone from another administration so he doesn't hire Mueller.
On May 17, Rosenstein appoints Mueller as Special Counsel.

While I think he is part of the swamp; I'm going to have a hard time believing he actually said that. I could be wrong and if he said it he has to go. But "people who overheard the conversation" are still unnamed sources. I don't believe any of them no mater which side they belong to.

I think the fact that leadership at these "institutions" think they're above oversight from Congress the President is a line of thought that sorely needs to be corrected and disabused immediately.
