No I did not say that but, by today’s standards and what he preached about all mankind sharing resources, having food to eat, Jesus would be judged a socialist in today’s American politics. That has nothing to do with party affiliation because believe it or not there are conservative and middle-of-the-road Democrats. I would never put a party label on my Savior like Republicans who label all as liberals who don’t believe as they do. Finally, whatever Roseanne Barr and Donald Trump are, I am not. I served my country for 30 years in the Air Force after graduation from LSU. I respect the laws of this country and above all, my Creator who teaches that all are equal in His eyes, not just the rich and famous that the Trumpkins admire.

Trump pushed this extremely hard in 2017. It was one of the first things he did when he took office.

Trump signs law to punish websites for sex trafficking

quote:

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday signed legislation aimed at penalizing website operators that facilitate online sex trafficking and chipping away at a legal protection for the technology industry.

quote:

The law is intended to make it easier for state prosecutors and sex-trafficking victims to sue social media networks, advertisers and others that kept exploitative material on their platforms, although victims would be required to show websites knowingly facilitated sex trafficking.

The signing occurred as Washington sharpens its scrutiny on technology companies, which have largely evaded regulation, for their use of privacy protections and consumer data. Mark Zuckerberg, the chief executive of Facebook Inc, has been testifying before lawmakers this week.

Backpage.com CEO pleads guilty, will testify against others

quote:

The chief executive of Backpage.com pleaded guilty to state and federal charges including conspiracy and money laundering, and agreed to testify in ongoing prosecutions against others at the website that authorities have dubbed a lucrative nationwide "online brothel," authorities said.
"For far too long, Backpage.com existed as the dominant marketplace for illicit commercial sex, a place where sex traffickers frequently advertised children and adults alike," U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions said in a statement. "But this illegality stops right now."

Backpage brought in a half-billion dollars since it began in 2004, mostly though prominent risque advertising for escorts and massages, among other services and some goods for sale, according to federal prosecutors. Authorities allege the site was often used to traffic underage victims, while company officials said they tried to scrub the site of such ads.

Chief Executive Officer Carl Ferrer will serve no more than five years in prison under a California agreement in which he pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy and three counts of money laundering in California. Also Thursday, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced the company pleaded guilty to human trafficking.

quote:

"Human trafficking is modern-day slavery, and it is happening in our own backyard," California Attorney General Xavier Becerra said in a statement announcing the plea deal. He called Ferrer's plea "a game-changer in combatting human trafficking in California, indeed worldwide."
