Former Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) said on Saturday that Attorney General Jeff Sessions should resign from his post after reversing an Obama-era policy that paved the way for states to legalize recreational marijuana.

"He represents something that is so un-American as far as I'm concerned," Paul, a one-time GOP presidential candidate, said on CNN's "Smerconish." "The war on drugs is a war on liberty."

Meh. I disagree with sessions, but maybe congress should do something other than cry. They have the power to change it.

An attorney General upholding the law on the books is unamerican now? Man, Obama fricked this place up.

Instead of these senators complaining about muh weed, write a new law!!

So how do you feel about a big, intrusive government?

So how do you feel about enforcing the God damned law as it is written and forcing the legislators who are actually supposed to change it do their fricking jobs?

Why doesn't he ask Rand to introduce a bill?

A theory going around is this is a negotiation ploy. Marijuana is expected to be a billion dollar revenue stream for California. By making noise that the revenue stream might not materialize, it gets California to consider dropping sanctuary cities in exchange for the marijuana money. Trump gets what he wants in no more sanctuary cities. California gets the marijuana money.

I’m all for congress fixing this, ultimately it falls on them. The response back "pothead" indicates he’s against legalization though (probably just partisan politics) and feels that it should remain illegal.

It’s pretty easy, change the law at the federal level.

No shite. Introduce a bill instead of doing the talk show circuit.

Rand should sponsor and pass a bill changing Federal law.

That's how this works.

My first reply was just being a smartass, I hate it and think weed along with many other things should be legal. When will Rand bring the marijuana legalization act to the Senate? Change the goddamn law
