I find it interesting that Iran is offering support for the Iraqi government. I would have thought the opposite would be true.

Odd the morons who supported this shite 10 years ago are scrambling for any little thing to attempt to blame the current president for this shite show.

Well done.

You're right, this entire shite show was a massive failure of US foreign policy, trumped up by the Cheney presidency and agreed to by a bunch of absentee legislators. It was a war based on phony evidence and faith with no plan for the aftermath. And Obama shoulda pulled out the troops upon entering office.

Are you fricking done with the Bush bashing? It's childish. Everyone knows we screwed up in Iraq. What do we do about the problem at hand now? That's the question.

About as good of a summary as you can put out there... I would add, that it was also a war based on the heart strings of Americans post-9/11.

We do nothing because nothing we do will resolve the conflict. We can only tamp it down for awhile, leave and watch it boil over again. It's their civil war, they need to figure it out for themselves.

Not by a long shot.

A few months ago everyone was revising history about what a great guy he was.

He is responsible for one of the greatest foreign policy failures since the vietnam war.

What do we do about the problem now?

Not one thing. Get our Embassy people the hell out of there, get every American contractor on the ground the hell out of their and watch as that dust bowl turns into yet another Islamic republic.

Good job W, I'll drink a beer to your legacy tonite.

Are you going to say this when Syria, Iran, Kuwait, Turkey, Russia, Saudi Arabia, and Isreal are all involved and oil production/ supply is effectively cut off in the Middle East? We created this shite storm and are obligated to act, IMO.

This could be the start of WW3 if something doesn't change quick. You can't reason with these frickers. This is a huge foreign policy blunder. The rest of the world is about to be drawn into this conflict that we created. Sitting back doing nothing is not an option, IMO.
