The BBB is a disaster and I agree with Rick Scott.

Good then get the cuts they want. Codify Doge

Lets see these "conservatives" do something other than cry about Trump like SFP

But if they let the taxes expire oh boy the melt is gonna be great and be blamed on Orange. I cannot wait

Fine with me but come with solutions and get them passed... easy to say "no" but I be damned if he needs to support another last minute CR either...

That’s like a libertarian bitching about a tax cut because taxes weren’t completely eliminated.

quote:

The Byrd Rule, part of the Congressional Budget Act of 1974, prohibits changes to Social Security through the budget reconciliation process used to pass the bill, which explains the omission.

The way around this was to do the deduction for people 65 and older versus eliminating tax on SS.

How is criticizing Trump's Biden-level spending "TDS" exactly?

If the Bill fails to ratify by end of July, it will likely mean failure (on multiple fronts) and a loss of the midterms for the GOP …. which is what I believe the McConnell/Thune/RINO faction of Senate republicans will allow to happen. They prefer it that way …. to be a controlling minority …. it’s easier and they can still extract their indulgences. They are as corrupt as hell. It also means the DOGE cuts won’t be codified. (More indulgences)

They are on the hook for their decisions (or lack thereof) to their backers and the lobbyists …. they fear them more than they do us. And they know that justice can be manipulated in their favor. They don’t give a single damn about The People …. they don’t even give it a thought.

DC is awash in foreign cash … like Miami in the seventies

I think Musk saw this was hopeless, and that’s why he is washing his hands of the stink.

You think the BBB is good? You support spending like a crack whore who just won the lottery?

I predict he's going to do his usual spin and just focus on tax cuts and ask you why you don't want the Trump tax cuts.

2nd guess is he's going to say "you have to spend money to make money", which makes no sense in this context.

Lefty? What?

Since when is promoting decreasing federal spending a "lefty" position?

Trump showing that his policies are close to Democrats, especially with respect to spending? I've always said this is my biggest criticism of him

Tax cuts don't mean as much if inflation takes off again due to money printing. It's net zero. It means even less for SDV if the BBB forces Powell to actually raise rates, which is a possibility

Other than Powell lowering rates, SDV does not care about actual policies. He just wants MAGA to "win".
