Retroactive background checks

It’s coming. In addition to enhanced vetting and background checks, I predict there will also be a push for retroactive background checks for those that passed one at the time of purchase to see if anything now would deem them ineligible to purchase one.
I would be in favor of this. If you are flagged, because your circumstances have changed, you must turn the weapon in and in violation of new law. Warrant should be issued until you comply and turn weapon in.
Let the downvotes commence.

So your idea is more background checks on top of background checks.

So another law to prevent law breakers from breaking the law?
When does this cycle of bad decisions end?

To include the new criteria that will be proposed, yes!

And yet the left doesn't even want us to be allowed to ask for a free ID card at the polls.

Dude they don't even keep it on record.

I've posted this link several times. During the dear leader's regime they had more than 100K felons "each year" try to buy "new weapons", but they only "considered prosecuting" .04% of them.
Jug Ears wanted felons to have guns.
LINK
O'Blunder also floated the idea of no private businesses being allowed to do any background checks for hiring purposes. He only wanted the gubment to be able to do that.

It's amazing how off the wall people go when you mention keeping criminals from owning guns.

What is the new criteria?
Posted on 2/19/18 at 9:11 am to Covingtontiger77
we need more laws making killing another human illegal and should ban firearms within 500 feet of schools

No, it’s not.

How do you know the person still owns the gun? Who is going to keep track of all this? Who is going to consistently run these background checks?

They don't keep permanent records, so what you would be doing in effect (by changing the system to have permanent records) is keeping a registry of potential gun owners.

Already against the law. And of the criminals that fill out a 4473 less than 1% of them get prosecuted for breaking the law.

Not only do they not want ID to be presented, they want same day registration.
Think about it, they can then bus people in, fill out a registration card and vote. All without providing an ID that proves you are who you say you are and eligible to vote!

That's a problem. But I'll expose some white trash side of my family. My aunt was charged and convicted of a felony when she was in her 20s. It was a white collar type to do with child care payments or some shite. I don't know all the details but I know it was something stupid so she deserved whatever happen. She tried to buy a gun from walmart a few years ago for home protection and got denied. I say all that just to wonder what percentage of denials are close to this example. Meaning prosecution could not possibly worth it.

The NSA says HI. If you think for one second that the NSA doesn’t already have a national database that they keep on every firearm background check done you are kidding yourself.
