I'm almost to the point where I agree with Trump. Just let the damn thing collapse.

LOL.

This is what being slaves to the cause is called now huh?

I mean, you wouldn't want to have people who actually form their own opinions which might on occasion deviate from their party.

For all the griping the left does about how the Republicans are partisan, that sure looks like the very DEFINITION of partisan to me.

honestly both parties do this IMHO. Republicans have a much more idealogical diverse caucus than the democrats right now. So you a bit more dissension. But that hasn't always been the case.

What is unique is how much republicans hate each other. it is fricking bizarre.

Well, it's been the case with Democrats for nearly my entire 32 years of adult life.

Not really. I mean, look, one can think what they like about the repeal votes but the bottom line is simple.

About 12 of those folks flat out lied to their constituents. No, they didn't "nuance" it. They didn't "change their minds". They just flat out lied. On what was arguably the single most vote affecting issue they were facing.

And, it would be one thing if this was the first time, but it ain't.

Which is why I am ALWAYS telling you guys that I am NOT "Republican". I'm Conservative. You guys always act like that's a cop out. It's just reality. The bulk of our government, Rep and Dem is completely bought.

THIS is why Trump happened.

Oh, and that'll happen when you have freedom lovers within your caucus.

Democrats don't value freedom, so, they're going to tend to simply ride the wave of ever more government power.

Hell, they don't even REALLY believe some of the shite people think they believe.

If the black population in America caught a highly communicable disease, most prominent Democrats would have a nearly NIL chance of catching it.

And, you can bet the moment the Hispanic voting base becomes powerful enough, blacks will be dead to the democrats.

The bottom line for Democrats is to ensure we hate each other.

But, let's be blunt here. The easiest issue to identify the uniparty problem on is immigration.

For frick's sake. 20 years ago, the parties were literally on the exact opposite sides of the issue! And most of them are the same fricking people.

I highly doubt they all changed their mind.

You weren't paying attention in 88-92 and 00-04 then, the democrats were ripping each other apart.

again, this sounds a lot like HATE to me.

It's probably wise to hate someone who would court your vote by overtly lying to your face AND placing fake votes they don't really mean.

Back to my point. Hate. It is odd to see within a party like this. And it isn't like the hate flows one way. Trumpkins hate GOPE, and GOPE hate trumpkins. it is freakishly bizarre.

Your use of the word Trumpkins makes you look unintelligent.

And, a better way to characterize it is, people who recognize that government is the problem hate the people who clearly have been in the beltway so long that they are part of the problem.

The reason we direct so much ire within our party is because we already expect liberals to be scum. They RUN on being scum. I mean, it's basically the central plank of their platform.

It's the one's claiming to be something else that DESERVE extra derision.

All that said, the fact you think it's bizarre is part of the problem. It shouldn't be except that you, like so many liberals, view politics as 100% a team sport.

To you, opposing other Democrats is like an LSU fan walking in to Tiger Stadium and rooting for Bama.

Troof.

But in reality there is no magic plan that will deliver what the American people demand a t price they are willing to pay.

Democrats have shifted the burden for producing such an unrealistic plan onto republicans. They've worked it masterfully.

More troof.

I tell people all the time that I can write an insurance policy that covers everything for no cost and provide a new Lambo every year. "You" just wouldn't like the premium.

It's an impossible task.

Well. Except for 2 things.

1. It looks like Republicans aren't going to actually pass anything

which will yes, cost Republicans politically and help Democrats politically.....in the short term

but

2. At some point, the train wreck of Obamacare will be impossible to ignore and, it may well be that when that happens, the burden will be back in the lap of Democrats to provide the unicorns and rainbows again.

Let's be honest here. It's like you said.

The fundamental problem is most Americans are as fricking stupid as BamaAtl and think the health care Santa Claus actually exists.

Everyone wants the ability to stick their neighbors with their bills. The problem is... all their neighbors have the same capacity to stick you with their bills. In the end... you might as well pay for your own.

Tort reform

A total give away to doctors and not a driver of costs. They have panels and damage caps just about everywhere in the country. Only 15 states don't have caps. 27 States have review panels. Doctors make a ton of money and they get exempt from liability, all while there is a line miles and miles long of people that would want to be doctors.

You want to impact costs, open up primary care, mint more doctors. Simple as that. Malpractice torts aren't what is driving costs.

They'll happily offer single payer and there won't be any republicans left to oppose if. Not sure they'd oppose it right now.

McCain would vote for it if it got home some applause from applause from democrats.

Part of me wants this to happen just so I can laugh at every liberal I know when they figure out that Single Payer isn't what they think it is.

I will guarantee you that 99% of those pro-single payer think that it's basically "what we have now, but free".

LOL. They're in for a shock. And every time I hear one of them complain, I'm just going to laugh in their face and tell them they fricking asked for it.

The government won't approve my cancer treatment because they said it wasn't "economical." Enjoy your single-payer system!
