Strip their party membership if they vote no on confirmation of Kav. Maybe then I might gain a little faith in the GOP

Doesn’t work when you only have a two vote majority.

Besides that, Flake is irrelevant come January. I’m more worried about the other two.

Flake is gone anyway. That's why he's so dangerous. He doesn't care because there's really no ramifications for making a grudge vote because of his TDS.

Have any of them given an indication that they won't vote to confirm?

GOP will pick up Senate seats...plus if they truly are "moderates" they will keep voting the same way. Of course they arent. They will side with Dems and then get their asses voted out

Don't you Repubs understand that the only reason Repubs have a majority in both houses of Congress now is that the moderate-right Repubs are in office. Yet some Repubs wanna purge the very people that give conservative Repubs power.

I don't think we're going to get anyone more conservative in Collins' seat. Surely Alaska can do better than Murkowski.

They tried but the name Murkowski is so entrenched there she won as a write in last time.

I forgot about that. I hope this wakes people up in Alaska about her.

Whats the point of having Republicans in charge if they refuse to implement conservative policy? If being "moderate" means siding to those who resort to character assassination because they cant win through normal civilized channels, we can do without these kinds of people in power.

In a show of how incestual Washington politics is, Murkowski’s little brother went to Georgetown Prep for a bit while her father was a Senator.

The fourth “witness,” Leland was married to Bob Beckel.

And Cokie Robert’s dad is a Georgetown Prep alum.

She won in a write in election her first time.

She has powerful allies in this state especially with Alaska Natives (who typically vote with democrats).

Shes not going anywhere unfortunately.

The focus up here is to get Don Young out of office not going to happen though

This is true. It would be better to have Dems in those seats.

Honestly, this is not a situation where ANY politician should vote on the political will of their in-state constituency. They should vote based on the ability of the judge to be fair, impartial and render a decision based upon the constitution.

Kav's judicial record is unimpeachable on that account, and his altruism is (should be) beyond reproach.

If they don't vote for him, they are taking a dump on the constitution itself.
