China and India are 9 kinds of fricked. They lose 10s (100s?) of thousands in river flooding. And China has lots of folks living near the coasts.

Another reason to believe it is bullshite. If it was really going to happen, wouldn't those 2 countries do something about it? They literally have the most to lose.
