I would love a military court-especially if treason is a charge.
I agree but can you imagine the screaming from the Dems/media if a military trial was announced? That would be the "scream heard 'round the world".

Let them scream.
Imagine if one was shot “trying to escape “

I want to see perps walking in cuffs with evidence of their having resisted arrest (bloody scalps, black eyes, swollen lips, etc.).

It’ll never happen. Too many not only trying to protect investigation but also the back the blue types. Law enforcement rarely ever gets prosecuted for corruption.

Yeah, unfortunately nothing will happen

Funny, either as a supervisor or a working agent, I sent more than 10 off in my career as a LEA.

post a headline reading multiple high-level people have been indicted. Then I will pay attention.

And I assume it will be a DC jury
I believe the general rule on jurisdiction in the federal system would dictate that the trial could be held anywhere within the geographical boundaries of the district in which the crime(s) are alleged to have been committed. As for D.C., it's in the federal 4th which encompasses Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, North and South Carolina.
But also as you correctly stated, who knows what other jurisdictions could be allegedly involved in a matter such as this.
All the above is "generally speaking".

Durham needs to find a grand jury outside of DC area, way outside. The swamp will protect itself no matter what. Remember when DC grand jury decided not to indict other FBI agents a few months back?..
Bring it before Americans in Flyover Country and see what happens.

If there are statute of limitations issues involved, which there easily could be, then surely a federal grand jury has already been impaneled and used in this/these matters. One primary way to suspend the running of statutes of limitations is to secure and file a sealed indictment. Those are not a matter of public record until official unsealing occurs.

I mean, this is an awful lot of talk with no indictments, no arrests, no nothing.

Solomon said, a DC grand jury.

Get them Hillbillys from West by God Virginia and western Va good ole boys on the jury, they would convict them and build the Gallows all in the same day.!

Durham better have a security detail he can trust to watch out for falling pianos and bank safes.

Quite some time ago I predicted that around end of summer is the most likely time frame on something like this. So it's right in line with my personal opinion in that regard. FWIW, which admittedly probably isn't much to anyone besides myself. But anyhoo...
Whether or what ends up happening, I couldn't say for sure, but I for one am not in the least surprised that it appears as if nothing is going to happen. That's precisely how they want it in an investigation like this. That's how it must be for a complex investigation like this to succeed.
The vast majority of the time, in the federal system, where there's smoke there's fire. They don't waste time or resources unless they are rather convinced indictments are almost certainly forthcoming.

Odds that it ends up being...
"We uncovered some serious misapplications of authority, but no reasonable prosecutor would bring charges at this time. We are putting in place guidelines that make sure nothing like this happens again."

And even a D.C. grand jury is fine. Just the fact (if it is such, of course) that any grand jury has been at work in this is quite significant. And ultimately a jury trial itself doesn't necessarily have to take place in the exact same location that the grand jury was doing its thing.
I'm always optimistic on this situation, you know that.
