I have a few points to make.

1.My husband, who spent 20 years in the Marine Corps, just divided his GI Bill between our 2 sons. They each get 18 months of college. So my husband, who has been sacrificing for this country for 20 years, just sacrificed once more to give the benefit he earned to his children rather than using it himself.
If the children of military members (who really pay a heavy, unseen price) don't get their college paid for outright, the average citizen who does not serve this country, shouldn't get their college paid for.

2. My grandmother paid for my sister and I to attend college. My sister took out student loans during this time and spent the money on clothes and vacations. She ended up graduating college with $20k in student loan debt even though our grandma had footed the bill for tuition, books etc. How do the democrats plan to determine which debt is legitimate and which debt is frivolous like my sister's debt?

A non-citizen can enlist in the military. However, federal law prohibits non-citizens from becoming commission or warrant officers. In order for a non-citizen to enlist in the military, they must first be a legal immigrant (with a green card), permanently residing in the United States.

Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., is taking heat for sharing an article calling for the G.I. Bill -- legislation that pays for American service members' higher education -- to apply to all U.S. citizens.

This stupid bitch probably doesn't even realize that service members PAY for the GI Bill. You literally have to sign up for it and they take money out of your paycheck and invest it and that is what the government uses to pay tuition. Up until recently it didn't even cover 4 years college. Prior to 9/11 it only covered 36 months of school. it a stipend that you receive and depending on the school you attend it might not be enough to cover all expenses each semester.

This is what I hate about these quotes. Yay cancel everyone's debts and make everything free!!!! Sounds great and it's what ancient conquerors who took power by force often did to gain goodwill with the citizens...

But what the hell does free mean? What about the companies who own that debt, are they just screwed? Who's going to pay the professors? Where is that money comping from?
