It depends on the crime. I think people do make mistakes and can clean up their lives. Once you’ve paid your debt to society(depending on the crime) I personally won’t hold it against them. I can think of instances of non violent crimes. I knew a doctor who spent a couple of years in jail for Medicaid Fraud. Not a bad guy he just got greedy right out of medical school. He got his license back and practiced a long time after.

I get your point, but that is not the issue. If you committed a CRIME, you are by definition, A CRIMINAL. You can't sugar coat it. Just like if you committed rape, you are a rapist.
