This is the guy Dem members of the House Intel Committee are falling over themselves to fellate as the paragon of patriotism. After all, he's a US MIL officer in uniform. He is beyond reproach.

from his testimony, it seems Vindman is the "whistle-blower" and he used Ciaramella to leak the info.

No doubt about that - this was predicted some time ago - the CIA uses 'fake' whistleblowers to leak the info, with the real guy held in reserve if they need him.

I am not demeaning the PH as I know a few deserving people with one from Vietnam to current operations, but I would be interested to learn more about how his was earned.
Strictly because all the other recipients I know received serious injuries. A minor leg injury seems like lowering the bar a little.

One of my Career Course classmates still causes metal detectors to go off because the "minor leg injury" that netted him a Purple Heart resulted in shrapnel that doctors were unable to remove without severing a major artery.

That's why I'd like to hear more about his injury.
What you describe makes sense and in line with a few I know that are PH recipients.
My point was also that people are acting like he is beyond second-guessing simply because he has a PH.

Only democrat talking point zombies are saying that. Just because he's tabbed, has a CIB and PH doesn't mean he can't also be a partisan hack who places his personal politics over his job as a leader.

If he was awarded, it was documented enough to warrant it. It only requires an injury caused by enemy contact...
What you and others should really focus on is what he lacks on his chest...

Ya, the lack of BSM is...odd. Even if he got the PH and CIB as a LT, it would be strange not to get chucked a BSM to go with it.
ETA: And if he did get it as a LT, why no other deployments after that one?

Ahh...that clears it up. I thought it was harder to obtain simply because the people I know with them had serious injuries.
One guy took a nade to his throat in Vietnam. Not directly obviously but enough that he can hardly speak and the scars are still highly visible.
