Has it ever occurred to you that it isnt the flag that matters, but the people in the state?
I dont care either way for the Confederate battle flag or any of its iterations. But you really shouldn't let those things dictate how you feel about a politician, especially if they are doing the best thing for their respective party now.
And as always, who knows what happened behind closed doors? There is probably more to the story. Add in the fact that most politicians act in regards to THEMSELVES first and their constituents second.
Ask yourself this: are you mad about the flag takedown because of historical repression OR because of your ego.
Flag or no flag, if a state has problems they need to be addressed. Bravado and Pride aren't cures for social ills, and never will be.

Nikki Haley did great work as Ambassador to the UN and has remained loyal to the President both during her tenure in the Administration and after leaving.
You’re pathetic for thinking she’s anything but on the team.
Donald Trump won the Presidency by the sheer force of his personality. We will not have that going for us in future elections. Nikki Haley might be all that’s standing between you and a Kamala Harris (I.e.) from taking over the White House. I for one will be pulling for Nikki Haley in that scenario.
