Knew that you would transgress on the hearts of the Cruzifixes on here who still fail to realize that there's no percentage in falling in "love" with coaches, athletes, or politicians.
They'll inevitably disappoint.
Interested in what ever response any of this will get from two of his most salivating, fawning supporters in the so-called Right media: Levin and Berry.
Berry actually cursed his listeners on the air over Cruz.
Coincidentally, along with others on the so-called Right, they both found Jan. 6th to be advantageous for expelling the bile they had pent up in them for 4 years by attacking and blaming Trump for it.
In a good way, Jan. 6th was "therapeutic" for them and also for Beck, Parrino, Kessler, Lowry and others who followed suit.
Also that you mentioned Condoleeza Rice - another one that the Repubs fawned and gushed over who is now among her own kind at the Aspen Institute.
Also, just heard on the radio that his paw hobnobbed with L. Harvey Oswald for awhile here in Orleans, and that it is alleged that after the assassination he wound up in Canada working for a company owned by the Bushes.
Wouldn't mind some verification on this.
And whether Bush money will be integral to his running for the office again that he has no hope of winning.
He obviously smells blood in the water regarding Trump.
And the entitlement factor for him is strong.

I'm not gonna say that all the Cruz haters up in here are a bunch of clueless morons. Because that would be rude.

In a few weeks he will make some witty comment about AOC on Twitter and the lemmings will go back to Lion Ted.

The silliest charge was that he went to Harvard. Cruz was a leader of the young conservative organization on campus. People don't realize what a hostile position that is. It's like starting a chapter of the KKK at Southern Univ.

Ill ask again. List Ted Cruz's accomplishments in DC? Especially in trumps first 2 years. Ill hang up and listen.

Real talk...
truth about Cruz. The only one I am shocked about is Matt Gaetz. He seems to be team MAGA solid; yet his dad helped redistrict Allen West out when the GOPe was attacking the tea party. His dad is a Bush guy owned and operated.
I think Jim Jordan refused to be in the club all the way, so they are trying to: redistrict him out
Gowdy and Jason Chavetz, did they leave DC to run the game on the outside?

The only thing the Republicans did was pass a corporate tax cut. In 2 friggin years. They are worthless.... How's about work on the immigration problem, Obama Care, Election Laws. Hell any conservative cause. Republicans are worthless.

In Trump's first two years he voted for Trump's agenda. Would you prefer he oppose it?
In the past year he's eviscerated at least a dozen of Biden's nominees in hearings to the point of them being withdrawn or committed to therapy for recovery. If you were to sit down with Cruz for a debate there would be nothing left of you but a greasy spot.

He is a lawyer. I can find a trucker from Texas that will vote lock step with conservative causes. Keep worshipping these politicians. We are almost there!

All of the GOP voted for most of Trump's agenda but the elephants in the room-IMMIGRATION, HEALTHCARE and Trump disengaging the Paris Accords pissed off republicans.
So they essentially didn't ra ra for Trump's agenda other then showing up for work and breathing because Trump was the President. Like Meg said, Uncle Lindsay HAD to kiss the ring.
The R's were mostly all FOS feigning MAGA.
Rand Paul and the HFC were the only MAGA's If Cruz is in the HFC minus him. Amash was a set up like Paul Ryan.
Cruz is running for President and won't make it out the gate; but he has to kiss the establishment ring to get there. The truth is, his lips are establishment lips whether you like it or not.
ETA: He is most likely only running for President possibly---- like all the others did in 2016. To try to split the vote against who they don't want in. Also to keep him in front of a camera so he maybe gets a chairman position or Supreme Court nomination.

If Cruz was establishment I wouldn't like it. He's not. We simply have a disagreement on the litmus test of what is 'real conservative' and what is 'establishment.' It is not black and white.
This is a dangerous business that I have witnessed with libertarians all my adult life.
If there are 50 policy issues and Joe Libertarian disagrees with Bill Libertarian on 1 out of the 50 then Bill will throw a fit that Joe is not a 'REAL' libertarian.

I went back and looked at the video in its totality. He was opening his questions to Capitol Police on their failures, and was condemning violence in totality, not calling out just the folks on 1/6. It was a lawyer technique, IMO. I'm as guilty as the next in jumping to conclusions, and that is what is largely happening here.
Most folks don't understand subtlety, and I think you have to be able to read between the lines. He was also calling out the summer rioters too. Even the Committee Chair, Klobuchar, tried to follow up Cruz' remarks and reframe what he said. That's the first clue that he was actually making a good conservative point.

Most 'conservative' issues are not MAGA. Leave Trump out of it even. MAGA is different.
Most 'conservatives' are flimsy on immigration and healthcare and are for globalism for the sake of party unification diplomacy crap.
Most conservatives are neocons.
Things changed. If I knew back when what I know now I would have voted for Ron Paul. I think we could have had a MAGA movement back then against the Bush's & Romney's If we knew about their MIC and fake wars with the Patriot Act. I was a dumbass voting for the Bush's.
I thought Dubya was a good man that didn't politicize things so much. His domestic terrorists speech on 911 pin pointing Trump supporters was hideous. There were no WMD's and the Bush's suck and Teddy Cruz is an establishment Bushite. He fooled many Like Paul Ryan, Mattis, Kelly & Rubio did.

There is a difference between 'advocating' and being 'flimsy'. I think the factor you're leaving out is a long history of political advertising and media spin.
That is why 'flimsy exists.
IE, suppose a conservative is opposed to immigration. He will be labeled a racist in daily media plus campaign ads by his opponent.
If he is opposed to free health care he is similarly labeled as wanting poor people to die. It's what the Dems have always done and always will do.
Some conservatives get scared and that = flimsy. It depends on the polling in their district.
Ronald Reagan had to deal with this. He had to compromise and give Dems some of the social spending they wanted so he would only be described as Grinch instead of Satan.
