Remember that stupid mask you wore for two years
Turns out, it was full of microplastics
That's a screenshot from a Guardian article, which if you read, never mentions masking or that masks produce the microplastics byproduct. If you care to read and not just hyperventilate over a substance-less screenshot: LINK
From the article:
quote:
Microplastic pollution has been discovered lodged deep in the lungs of living people for the first time. The particles were found in almost all the samples analysed.
The scientists said microplastic pollution was now ubiquitous across the planet, making human exposure unavoidable and meaning “there is an increasing concern regarding the hazards” to health.
Samples were taken from tissue removed from 13 patients undergoing surgery and microplastics were found in 11 cases. The most common particles were polypropylene, used in plastic packaging and pipes, and PET, used in bottles. Two previous studies had found microplastics at similarly high rates in lung tissue taken during autopsies.
If there's anything you shouldn't be doing, that you control, it's drinking from plastic bottles.

you don't see one mention of a mask anywhere.
There is no way the editors or writers would dare say something negative about masks

I haven't worn a mask for a total time of less than two hours since this shite started over two years ago. If I just had to go shopping for something I'd go in the store, find what I needed and then head to the truck and let her do the standing in line thing with her mask on.

OK, so now you are just making up your own thoughts. Which is perfectly fine, but OP pretended like it was an actual article that proved this rather than just another conspiracy theory from the far right.

Yeah, sure. Drinking bottled water makes plastic get in your lungs.

Since you won't read the article, I'll help you out.
From the article:

Microplastics were detected in human blood for the first time in March, showing the particles can travel around the body and may lodge in organs

Microplastics are in everything. Even if you go live in a remote cabin in the woods and grow your own food, you will still be ingesting small amounts. You can't get away from it.

I don't care what the article said. Wasn't responding to the OP.
Was responding to someone who at least seemed to indicate plastics being in the lungs were coming from drinking bottled water.

So plastic bottles are a new invention?

Well you blindly defended OP's made up conclusion that wearing masks is resulting in microplastics being found in people's lungs.
When actually the article OP "linked" is saying microplastics are being found all over, including people's blood which will obviously be carried throughout your body, including your lungs.

Oh. Environment climate crap. Should have known

No I did not.
Please cite anywhere that I said that in this post:

That is my entire post.
Again, where do you read in that statement I "blindly defended OP's made up conclusion" as you state.

Tide pods are a huge source of micro plastics in our waterways. No doubts they transferred plenty of harmful plastics and chemicals through “washed” cloth masks into people’s lungs and bloodstream.

Sooo what if I wore a mask under my mask? That would filter out those plastic particulates from getting into my lungs right?

I was speaking more broadly - there are numerous articles about how microplastics get into the body through bottled water:
So regarding keeping microplastics out of your body...maybe stop drinking bottled water or anything in a plastic bottle.
As to the article, it never mentions masks as a source - that's made up, whole cloth, by the OP.

I walked out of many stores because of no mask. not going back to them, ever. They didn't want my business then, they won't get it ever.

Well how about I just post a link about the OP's SUBJECT, even though I was not commenting on that at all:
Face Masks: Breathing Microplastic Fibers
Shocking, huh!

Are you serious?
OP link only the title of an article with the conclusion that microplastics are being found in people's lungs because of masks.
Someone disputes that citing that it's actually from microplastics in water bottles.
You come in and say, sarcastically,
Insinuating that it is from masks, like OP is claiming.
