If I know candidate A has opinions in line with my beliefs and I support candidate A to win
The fact that after elected, Candidate A votes as I hoped he would isn't evidence of corruption.
I realize this is a complicated concept for liberals, but there it is.
(Actually, I know you guys are just liars who try to false equate such things as corruption, but, I felt like being nice for a second)

I could have sworn the whole world was for Hillary and everyone was afraid Trump was going to nuke them. He was anti Muslim, immigrant etc. This was on every news channel for months leading up to the election.
