DoD civilian employee for over 12 years. I'm going to be applying for a religious exemption for the vaccine. I have great supervisors that have my back. Unfortunately the decision goes above them.

If not approved, I will not bend the knee. Built up about $500k swing trading the markets, so I might have a new profession.

Has anyone had experiences with the exemption process? I know every employer and gov organization is different, but please share

That’s exactly what I’m doing now. Hopefully never have to work for anyone again.

Problem is it's not like a free pass card, they might accept it and say you don't have to take shot but they will find other ways to knock you down till you either get shot or quit.

11year DoD civil service employee here. Although the official policy is not in place yet, on 5 Oct I provided my squadron leadership with my religious exemption request letter.

Like you, my people are supportive but the decision is not in their hands. I submitted my letter to them the day before the Project Veritas video on aborted fetal tissue. I said straight up I’m making my position clear now so when the policy does come down no one can say i waited too long to publish my beliefs.

I told them whatever happens next is in God’s hands, I completely trust Him and am at peace no matter what. I just closed on a house today and they think I’m crazy for taking this chance. I told them good thing I invested well over the past 30 years.

For us it’s a waiting game. My advice is to put your thoughts on paper and give it to your immediate leadership in preparation for policy.

If they tell me I won’t get promoted or get bonuses…I’ll be like “OK”.

Good luck at your new employer.

But no, I don't have any experience with the religious exemption and I doubt my company will even offer it if/when they make the mandate official.

I don't mean for my initial comment to come across like I'm a jackass. I am a jackass, but I was seriously wishing you luck at your next job. That's the outcome I'd expect. I'm glad you amply prepared for it. And I'm thrilled that you won't submit to their bogus injection.

Pretty much similar situation sans being a government employee. I’m waiting for some opportunistic lawyers that truly know labor and constitutional law to fire up that solid lawsuit to smack this authoritarian BS down. If I leave or I’m terminated I will have a document notarized that shows I left employment under protest of being a victim of oppression.

Federal contractor here, turned my exemption in a few days ago. I avoided anything that they could refute with any of the fake studies floating around. Based my exemption off my own personal beliefs with a little bit of biblical backing. Pretty much said I had prayed about it and have an overwhelming feeling that I should not get the vaccine. Also stated that according to the Bible my body is a gift from God and a temple, which will not be desecrated against my will or my Lord’s intent.

Haven’t heard back on if it has been accepted. But I’m already working on my next moves if it is rejected.

Good strategy. This ^^^^ approach could keep you in the mix for a massive civil lawsuit based on religious grounds.

I based mine on my Pro Life stance and that my religious belief opposes forced medical treatments. I included scripture supporting both beliefs. I wrote that I’ve not made this decision lightly. It was made after much prayer and meditation. I believe God has directed me and blessed my decision through the Holy Spirit.

If you a vehemently opposed to abortion as I am, find scripture that supports your beliefs. Let them know you’ve prayed about it.
