He missed the wonder of the resurrection as he believed death was the 'end game'. Is ironic as Abraham believed God would have risen Isaac from the dead because of God's promises

The installation of Lucifer within the Catholic Church is already complete. Look up June 29, 1963. Malachi Martin, former priest and insider, wrote a detailed account of the ritual that took place.

A Windswept House

Throughout the ages, there have been many "anti-christs." Nero, Hitler, the Pope(s), to name a few.

As to THE man of perdition or Man of Lawlessness right before the return of Christ? Who knows? Here's one clue - according to the bible,he will cause most men to fall and deceptively cause them to worship him in place of Yeshua, the one true God.

The antichrist would have the entire world eating out his hand.

As opposed to begging for help from greater powers and being actively disliked in his own country to the point there were already separatist regions before the invasion started.

Just read Revelations 13.

quote:

3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
- Rev. 13:3

It is known that Satan attempts to imitate Jesus as a counterfeit - e.g. performing great signs and miracles, even resurrecting from the dead.

Revelations 13, 2 Thessalonians 2:8–12, Daniel 8:24

Matt. 24:24 says it's not possible to deceive the elect. He will be accepted by the Jews and the world as their messiah. He will give out a mark on the hand or forehead. And he will sit in the temple of God. At which point, the faithful remnant of Jews up and flee in the midst of a hige persecution which will kill 2/3 of them. The rest will meet Christ in the wilderness, be redeemed wholesale, and march with Christ on Jerusalem.

Yes sir.

So what is the take away here? Get right with God and learn to fear Him for judgement is coming.

The parable of the 10 virgins should strike fear into every self-professing Christian.

The parable of the ten virgins is for the lost. Christians have the oil and are part of the bride and will not be locked out.

Zelensky is just the hero of the week. He's not the AC, but the way people are breathlessly following his every word and flocking to him is important, imo. I think it shows that the world is hungry for leadership and the stage is being set for someone to take the reins. Even world leaders are anxious to hand their power over to someone else.

By not having poor pre-mill pre trib raputre theology that was invented 200 years ago and believing in an eschatology that the church has taught for centuries.

Either Post-Mill or A-Mill.

Amillenialism was just the catholic church's justification to torture Jews.

1 John 2:18 - Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come.

I think it has to do with leftism or humanism. Satanism is basically the belief that man should be God instead of God.

How do you recognize him? Lies, distortions, anti-Christian attitude, pro-humanism, etc... We will know.

I think progressivism has all the characteristics of Satan, however I think the communist takeover of the world is just another version of the Romans 1 judgement of being given over to a reprobate mind.

Squid, I think you may have missed the point that I was trying to make. I was calling out "self-professing" Christians in-name only - or, those who think they are saved, go through all of the motions, yet do not show the hallmark signs of truly understanding and living the Gospel message - i.e. bearing good fruit, turning away from their sinfulness, walking in obedience and righteousness, etc.

Religious bros — how do you recognize the Anti-Christ vs a powerful political douche?

First there has been many Anti-Christ in history. There are Anti-Christ walking the Earth today.

In 1 John 2:18–19, we read, “Children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come; therefore we know that it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out, that it might be plain that they all are not of us.”

Nero was an Anti-Christ. So were other powerful political douches like Napoleon, Hitler, Stalin, Franco, Mao, Xi, Putin, the Kims, and the socialist leaders of Cuba and Venezuela. Even smaller scale Anti-Christ such as Charles Manson who led his family to anti Christian values of murder and hate.

Now I get that you are referring to THE Endtimes Anti-Christ, but noted above is that the frequency of “smaller” Anti-Christs is actually a sign of the End Times!

In 1 John 2:22–23, we read, “Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son. No one who denies the Son has the Father. He who confesses the Son has the Father also.”

1 John 4:1–6 gives practical tests for discerning which spirits bearing revelation are from God and which are not. In John 4:3, we read that “every spirit which does not confess Jesus is not of God. This is the spirit of Antichrist, of which you heard that it was coming, and now it is in the world already.”

Finally, in 2 John 7, we read, “For many deceivers have gone out into the world, men who will not acknowledge the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh; such a one is the deceiver and the antichrist.”

The beast from the sea that John speaks of in Revelation is best understood in its initial, literal fulfillment as one of the early Roman emperors (cf. Catechism of the Catholic Church 2113 on the past fulfillment of this prophecy). Yet, there are often multiple fulfillments of a single prophecy, and the beast may also point forward to an individual at the end of time who will be very much like the early Roman emperors.

Such an individual is easy to identify with Paul’s “man of lawlessness,” for he appears to be a still-future individual who does things like the Roman emperors. Paul states that he will one day manifest himself in the temple of God—which to a first-century Jew would mean the Jewish temple in Jerusalem—and demand to be worshiped as a god. But it is not a hindrance to identifying the future, individual Antichrist with the future man of lawlessness or a future fulfillment of the beast from the sea, since future emperor-like individuals may have a personal, familial, or national Christian background.

All of the above cut and pasted from Jimmy Akin’s catholic, com.

Well, I definitely understand that. I lived my entire life in church, preaching, teaching, evangelizing. Until in December I was reading II Peter 2 and realized it was talking about me and I bowed my head and asked God to save me
