I hear the ports of entry and technology talk from them. I honestly don't hear much on combating tunneling with the wall and border security. Maybe it's not an issue as Dale51 pointed out its more prevalent around towns.
I didn't think I lived under a rock.

Without having to monitor thousands of miles of border 24/7, more resources can be used to identify and destroy other methods of entry. It's a very, very, simple concept.
You keep showing your arse. Holy shite.

These walls just don’t sit on the ground. They go maybe 6 feet below. Would take some time to tunnel under.
With the wall being see through they would be able to monitor activity on the other side. BP that patrols the wall will have much more time to respond.

This is a good point because El Chapo was your typical dirt-poor border jumper.

Apparently you're under the impression that you can just build a wall and it magically repels people to the point where you don't have to monitor it. That's beyond retarded.

Y’all not afraid that the wall is really just a stepping stone towards eventually covering the entire U.S with a wall so when the lizard ppl or the Dems regain control and take over the country, we won’t have a way to escape?

We can put a sheetpile system 100s of feet deep.

Is it easier to keep your dog in the back yard with or without a fence, even though he can just dig under it?

Apparently, your reading comprehension and basic logic skills are very poor. Your apparent frustration makes a lot of sense. If you read through this thread a few times, you might finally get it, but please don't strain yourself too much.

I'm all for the wall! But, what about the fact that these bastards are known tunnel rats?
A wall will never be 100% effective but it will stop the masses of people who are just walking over at will. When there is enough wall in the right places then ICE can concentrate on the hard core border crossers using other means.
The vast majority will not be willing to or equipped to scale a 30 ft wall.

A wall will remain after trump is gone. Technology only detects intruders but you have to have the political will to arrest and remove them. Democrats will let them in by using some stupid loophole. The wall makes it much harder for the cockroaches to get in the kitchen.

according to Breitbart federal law enforcement often takes days to respond to problems along the border in the big bend. You can build anything you’d like....if it takes days to get there it’ll be knocked down for many hours befor you get there. Instead of a wall why aren’t y’all clamoring for more agents and technology? Given the snails pace of federal projects, the seizure of private property required and the legal battles that will ensue ALL of Afghanistan could cross the border illegally and be amongst you.....but you could hire border agents, buy some trucks and be in business in 6 months.
