I think for 2024 we are looking at Ted Cruz, Nicky Haly team.

That would be a strong team. I used to think Cruz was too Smarmy to win but he has really come into his own the last year or so. The beard makes his face less punchable and he’s actually seems more relaxed and has a good since of humor. I’ve always liked his policies.

Trump turned "Lying Ted Cruz" into ""Lion Ted Cruz". I'll go with Cruz 2024

I'm going under the assumption that Trump will have at least 3-4 terms as POTUS. Figure that change in the law is coming soon.

I love Ted and appreciate him being senator when i lived in Texas but I just don’t think he can win the general. He’s by far the brightest mind the GOP has. If trump wins 2020 I’d love for Clarence Thomas to retire and Cruz replace him on scotus.

I don't want Haley. Don't trust her.

If 2024 were around the corner, I would be looking at Paul, Cruz, and probably Don, Jr. Imo, guys like Abbott and DeSantis are better-suited for Veep.

DeSantis is certainly on a fast track to be a strong Presidential candidate some day, though. Maybe even 2024, but I'm not there yet.

I could have sworn Pence said he didn't want to run in 2024.

Thats why I was hoping Trump would replace him in 2020 to start grooming someone else to take the reigns in 2024.

I think she would make a great VP candidate. Especially with someone like DeSantis.

Yes

2) If you do agree, why do you think that is so?

Because he doesn’t stand a chance post-Trump and everyone from both parties knows it

Cruz or Rand are the only one's with any fire. Graham's personality traits are too well known, imo. His personality has been set by the media over the years.

Pence is a stand up dude but simply doesn't have the charisma to run for President.

Because he is the Scotty Pippin to Trump's Jordan. There is no daylight between them for the media to talk about, and Pence makes triple sure it always stays that way.

Pence's chief value is clearly Loyalty. His loyalty to his wife, and to his boss, are unshaking, and he is good at making sure there is never even an opportunity to suspect it is not so.

I don’t see why in the hell, with all the success Trump has had, people on this board are overwhelmingly going with establishment Republicans as their choices in 2024. It’s frickin baffling to me.
