The selective outrage on spending, which went to a very transparent national monument, is the most bizarre aspect of this. Like look at this dump, it needs to get fixed, but let’s all cry the we spent $15M because that money should be funneled to an agency general fund so we have no clue how it is spent.

We wast billions of dollars a year that is essentially someone’s profit. A serious country would simply demand the contractor fix the problem that occurred less than a week from filling the pool back up. But no we have freaks dressed as micro organisms and cheerleaders for these micro organisms demonstrating vocal support for the algae, cheering on it’s growth at the edge of the pool.

It's lining the pockets of the people who are appropriating the tax dollars in the first place. If it came out that 10% of the money allocated makes it to the causes its designated for. I'd be shocked.

That's 2000X true for money leaving the US homeland for "foreign aid".
