So the Fortune 100 only hired ~300,000 people over a five-year period?? I'm as against DEI as anybody but that number seems ridiculously low given it probably wouldn't cover normal attrition, much less any growth after COVID of the combined top 100 companies in the world. That number might be true if the stat is restricted to "corporate office hires" only, but even then I'd question it.

Well, this mediocre person can at least find a job and get promoted.
I guess only exceptional people like the crybabies in this thread have trouble finding jobs and securing promotions.

I'm retired. I don't need a job. Planned properly & debt free. My wife & I are living the high life.
I paid in thousands upon thousands of thousands so you could set your fat arse on your couch & have kids with homeless guys.

I was turned down by the telephone company in my area over 50 years ago. I did well on the test and was asked to stay while everyone left the room besides me and a young white girl. The girl was hired and I was told to come back every 6 months and renew my application. I said that the reason that i took the test is because I found out that they were hiring about 60 new employees. The young black woman who tested us gave a smirk and said, we are. But before we hire you, we have to make our quota on blacks and women. This same stuff has been going on for over 50 years. It is not a new thing.

I've been out of the corporate world for 20 years, has it really got that bad?
As a very qualified, experienced white male who has had to look for work a couple times the last few years... Yes. It is terrible. And these stats, among others I have seen, confirm what I thought a major part of the issue might be.

I guarantee you it was an even lower percentage of white males hired from 2021 to January 2025.

Am I supposed to apologize for reading the thread? Can you point out the post in this thread from a non-white man complaining about not getting hire or being passed over for a promotion for being a white man?
