I wonder what Michael Dukakis and Willie Horton are thinking about all this.
If this guy truly is a deserter, Barry has taken the last fiber of his credibility with the military and pissed on it before he ran it through a shredder.

She went further than that:

She downplayed the criticism surrounding his release and noted some of the benefits his expected return brings the United States.
"We do have a tradition and I ascribe to it," Clinton said. "We try not to leave any of our soldiers on the field. We try to make sure, insofar as possible, you know, we bring them home."
She continued: "This young man, whatever the circumstances, is an American citizens and was serving in our military."

wow... just keep digging deeper and deeper
So a deserter and possible traitor deserves better treatment than an american teenager who's dad is with the Taliban?

Too bad you didn't feel that away the night of Sept. 11, 2012, you lying, piece of shite hag.

pissing off the military...AFTER you threw the CIA under the bus isnt a good idea.
Thats how you end up dead.
This. I don't think Obama realizes how much this pisses off the military. He didn't just go around them and the intelligence agencies...he traded 5 terrorists, people with American blood on their hands, people who soldiers risked their lives to capture, for a fricking traitor and deserter, and then hailed him as a hero. That's not going to go over well with officers and soldiers, especially ones who lost good men over this fricktard deserter.

How DARE you give your opinion on this. I mean I know the board asked for liberal opinions but you didn't think they actually were serious? Your 6 down votes will answer that question.
If Rand of House Paul, First of His Name, King of his own Optamology Board and United States Senator, and Protector of the Paulbots had been consistent and said this, the usual suspects would be licking his boots agreeing with him. Alas there is nothing consistent of our boy Joffery (pardon me, iPad autocorrect' Rand.

Again???
Seriously, can you comment on this issue?

I think everyone knows your opinion of Rand.
Prisoner swap...not so much.

Is the WH so incompetent that they didn't see this shite-storm coming before they pulled the trigger? Why would they do this?
Yes, they are that incompetent.
They thought it would be all adulation and glory. The One would naturally jump out front to take all the credit. Now that it has backfired the sycophants will be expected to fall on the sword for The Messiah.

NBC reporter Chuck Todd claimed the White House expected “euphoria” and a “rally around the flag” after Army Sgt. and probable deserter Bowe Bergdhal was traded for five top Taliban officials held at Gitmo — adding that the Obama administration has been “caught off guard” by the angry response.

People's reading comprehension around here fricking sucks. Todd doesn't say anybody in the WH told him they had expected a articulate response. He just thinks they did.
Posted on 6/3/14 at 7:48 pm to SavageOrangeJug
Sheesh. Euphoria? I mean shite. It's one thing to think this was the right action. It's another to be so fricking stupid you can't anticipate the obvious potential backlash. How fricking insulated are these idiots???

If you really have such disdain for this board and it's posters, why do you keep coming back to it?
I agree, this board needs more Democrats, but damn.

The only one I see with reading comprehension problems is you. The White House clearly expected a lot of positive political mileage out this. Obama does NOTHING that does not benefit him politically.
The elaborate acting with Bergdahl's parents. The walking off arm in arm. It all backfired.
Sorry if your hero looks like a fricking stooge...AGAIN.

Severely. They thought the American public would celebrate Bergdahl. Underestimated any potential digging.

An opportunity to put her story out with plenty of time to have it worded Just right and not have to answer any tough questions about it? Yes. I wonder how many attorneys read this before it was published to make sure she had plenty of maneuvering room.

Sounds like this country is done with it all. 1 in 6 gets a food card ,1 in 4 on some govt. Assistance, the government is 40% of our GDP. It isn't long now boys and girls. Do what you can within reason to prepare for the inevitable. This is some fricked up shite going on right now ...

Someone should ask Canklery Rodham-Skank how come we have left a Marine behind in Mexico.
