@RashidaTlaib
When I won, it gave the Palestinian people hope that someone will finally speak the truth about the inhumane conditions. I can't allow the State of Israel to take away that light by humiliating me & use my love for my sity to bow down to their oppressive & racist policies. https://twitter.com/RashidaTlaib/status/1162333169846247425 …
@scrowder
How about this, @RashidaTlaib? Stop calling for the destruction of the country you want to visit long enough for you to visit. Fair?https://twitter.com/RashidaTlaib/status/1162341203406401536 …
Steven Crowder
?
@scrowder
Man, I’d really love to tweet Rashida Tlaib and encourage her to visit her grandmother, but I can’t because she’s blocked me. Which is actually illegal...
In May, a judge ruled that President Trump could not block people from following him on Twitter. It was the most prominent in a series of rulings finding that access to public figures on social media is a constitutional right. “The suppression of critical commentary regarding elected officials is the quintessential form of viewpoint discrimination against which the First Amendment guards,” Judge James Cacheris wrote in a case involving a supervisor in Fairfax County, Va. Sity?
If she meant her city, then she should go back and stay to make it better.
We have radicals in Congress now. Good job, progs.

Didn’t the courts just rule that Trump cannot block people on Twitter?
But democrats like Tlaib can?

So if he decides to go to court to enforce the law, who pays the cost of attorneys and court costs when it's illegal to begin with? Her personally, or the federal government? Or does Crowder have to suck it up?

Inside of the link, there are two more links. I originally thought that the language said that "the President" cannot block people, but the ruling said:
quote:
"The First Amendment does not permit a public official who utilizes a social media account for all manner of official purposes to exclude persons from an otherwise-open online dialogue because they expressed views with which the official disagrees,” read the decision from Judge Barrington Parker.
I guess she may be able to stand on the leg of "I don't use social media for all manner of official purposes and can block whomever I please," but I don't think that argument looks good on a politically-charged post from a political figure.
I don't know much about law or how it's applied, but the language in the ruling against Trump didn't seem to be limited to himself or The Office of the President.

I don't know how tTweeter works, but why can't you block people? If it's an official Govt twitter account, that's understandable but this appears to be both of their personal accounts.

She has to stir up as much emotion as possible. Token grandma does the trick in this case.
