I'm right there with you. If you randomly selected 15 individuals you'd probably get close to 15 different opinions as to exactly what Trump should've done. I'm confident that there were quite a few considerations that us Monday morning quarterbacks either don't grasp or completely unaware or perhaps aware but ignore (in favor of our own opinions). Trump was also walking an extremely thin tightrope with the pending election being a very significant factor. Which I'm ok with to a certain extent because he can't do anything at all for us if he ain't President. The eventual election result notwithstanding.

There are a lot of unknown variables.

But I do know that I trust Fauci magnitudes more than an ophthalmologist (Rand Paul), a radiologist (Scott Atlas) or that “frontline” doctor from Houston who was big on “demon sperm.”

And you should, too.

Do you know anyone who goes around bragging about getting vaccinated for anything? Do people go around and brag about getting vaccinated for the flu? HPV? This is a ridiculous talking point. I don't give two shits if you are vaccinated or not.

He is a career government employee. He has been wrong so many times we have lost count. He has changed positions more times than Jenna Jameson. He participates in ridiculous propaganda like wearing two and three masks. Fauci is completely drunk on power. He is no different than the guy who is in charge of the USPS. There is no science behind half the stuff he suggests.

There were plenty of people, some of them in positions of medical authority, that never went irrational on COVID. Even on the poli board there were a handful of us that never bought the BS and were asking the questions that Trump should have been demanding answers for.

Back in March/April of last year while the bullshite was was being spun up the argument supporting Trump's going against his own intuition and bending the knee on COVID hysteria was he would get murdered by the press if he didn't, but some of us had been paying attention the previous 3 years and knew Trump was going to be massacred in the press regardless of what he did. Just like he was on all things, every single day of his presidency.

But if he had put rational medical experts out front and not funded the lockdowns/mandates, our economy would have not taken the dive it did and it would have been difficult for Dem governors to frick with their people the way they did.

When I think of Fauci, I recall how he was attacked for saying there’d be a summer surge, because people erroneously thought warmer weather would kill the virus.

He was right.

Then, he warned of a dark winter, and people ridiculed him and said they’d do what they want. Deaths spiked to 3,000-4,000 per day.

He was right.

I actually met Fauci and participated in exercises with him... he is a brilliant man but a government bureaucrat that knows his lane and nothing else... he should not be trusted to make recommendations OR make informed judgements when it comes to response and second and third order affects of that response...

He also acts like a child when he is heard and dismissed because he wants to take everything to "his" extreme... If he was worth a frick, he would not have been working for government this long...

Trust him all you will...

My grandmother passed away last year from kidney and heart failure (she was 97) do you want to guess what the hospital attempted to put down as the reason for her death even though they admitted she was not Covid positive and had never tested covid positive in the 3 days she was there? Those numbers are laughable.

You're giving way too much credit to an epidemiologist for knowing that a virus spreads.

What you should be doing is asking why the lockdowns/mandates he championed did little more than crater the economy and turn a generation of kids into future wards of the state.

Lot of accounts of this. Hospitals were getting reimbursed thousands of dollars from the government for Covid deaths. It essentially became a 'business'. Luckily my mom and aunt stood firm with them and would not participate in the fraud. The hospital administrator was basically begging them to sign off on a Covid death. It was infuriating.

And on top of this there is a huge difference in dying 'with' Covid and dying 'of' Covid. Those are two totally distinctly different things but they are treated one in the same. Why? $$$$$$$$$

Actually, what you are omitting is that when he predicted a summer surge and a spike from Christmas gatherings, he was ridiculed for even those basic statements.

I’ve already addressed that.

Was he? To the extent you're proposing? Because I thought there was more and more anecdotal evidence in the southern hemisphere that warm, summer temperatures weren't going to provide anywhere near the level of relief that may've been initially thought - very early on only.

ETA....In other words, Fauci really wasn't going out on much of a limb there.

It’s easy to be right when you switch positions. Was he right when he said masks were not effective? Yes or no...

I stand by my statement. An epidemiologist that understands a virus is going to virus is hardly a hero.

And who ridiculed him for predicting the virus was going to spread? He's been ridiculed (by a whole 20% of the public and 1% of the media) for his flipflopping and support of lockdowns/mandates that have done little more than crater the economy and frick up our kids.
