The best thing that ever happen to Rand was Trump. The next best thing was his neighbor. He woke up.

Sen. Rand Paul: Mask mandates and lockdowns from petty tyrants? No, not again. Choose freedom
Resist. They can’t arrest us all. They can’t keep all your kids home from school

quote:

Resist.

They can’t arrest us all. They can’t keep all your kids home from school. They can’t keep every government building closed – although I’ve got a long list of ones they should.

We don’t have to accept the mandates, lockdowns, and harmful policies of the petty tyrants and feckless bureaucrats. We can simply say no, not again.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi — you will not arrest or stop me or anyone on my staff from doing our jobs. We have all either had COVID, had the vaccine, or been offered the vaccine. We will make our own health choices. We will not show you a passport, we will not wear a mask, we will not be forced into random screening and testing so you can continue your drunk with power rein over the Capitol.

President Biden — we will not accept your agencies’ mandates or your reported moves toward a lockdown. No one should follow the CDC’s anti-science mask mandates. And if you want to shutdown federal agencies again — some of which aren’t even back to work fully — I will stop every bill coming through the Senate with an amendment to cut their funding if they don’t come to work.

No more.

Local bureaucrats and union bosses — we will not allow you to do more harm to our children again this year. Children are not at any more risk from COVID than they are for the seasonal flu. Every adult who works in schools has either had the vaccine or had their chance to. There is no reason for mask mandates, part time schools, or any lockdown measures.

If a school system attempts to keep the children from full-time, in-person school, I will hold up every bill with two amendments. One to defund them, and another to allow parents the choice of where the money goes for their child’s education.

I’m not a career politician. I’ve practiced medicine for 33 years. I graduated from Duke Medical School, worked in emergency rooms, studied immunology and virology, and ultimately chose to become a surgeon.

We are at a moment of truth and a crossroads. Will we allow these people to use fear and propaganda to do further harm to our society, economy, and children?

Rand Paul is the one protecting us. Not some pointy headed bureaucrats or Pelosi or the turnip.

Never trade your freedom for security.

Ron Paul & Rand Paul would have been the best Presidents this country has ever had. It’s a fricking shame our electorate is too stupid and too lazy to value their Liberty.

Rand is pretty naive here.

They don't have to arrest you. They can essentially blackball you from society now that large corporations have teamed up with the government and there's nothing anyone can do about it.

Well, that's kind of his point though. If a company with 5,000 employees mandates the vaccine to be employed, what the hell could they really do if 3,000 of those employees said "frick off."?

Fire 3,000 employees and suffer what would surely be a disastrous drop in production and continuity?

There is strength in numbers, like Rand suggested.

3,000 people aren't going to quit, especially when the government is saying that if you're let go for not complying with a company mandated covid policy then you won't qualify for any UE benefits.

I guarantee you insurance companies are going to force businesses to have 100% of their workforce vaccinated or they'll immediately drop coverage. Hell, insurance companies are almost guaranteed to do this with individual policies as well.

People are in such financial uncertainty right now that they're not going to make these stands. It sucks, but it's just the way it is. And in the next 3-4 months, it's going to get exponentially worse.

You back people against the wall and they will fight. If you think BLM and Antifa peacefully protested that is nothing compared to what a bunch of mostly peacefully protesting Patriots can do.

The problem is that you have a gigantic media apparatus that can make anyone who resists look like the most evil person to have ever existed. And if the local politicians don't prosecute to the max those that resist, the media and feds will find some way to drop the hammer.

Hell, just look at what happened to the guy in Austin who made a wrong turn into a blm protest, had an AK pointed at him, shot the guy, was let go, then had a DA decide he was going to charge the guy with murder because he popped some antifa shithead.

The government and large corporations have an infinite amount of resources and will ruin you in one way or another if they want to. I get his sentiment, but it's not particularly practical for the average middle class person.
