Racial equality from the right

Regardless of how we feel about the Capitol riot, I'm disappointed in those in the crowd who didn't kick out the Confederate flag wavers and say 'get the hell outta here, that's not who we are'.
I'm a Trump guy and a conservative. I'm anti BLM due to the violence and Marxism. And the principle of the matter is most important - and speaks for itself. There's no room for white supremists in any conservative movement. If they choose to more identify with conservatives, it's our duty to make everyone openly aware we don't want them and we don't approve of them.
Now on the pragmatic side. Just about all they're showing is pictures of Confederate flags at the Capitol. They'll constantly make the association of 'racist' with 'Republican' and 'conservative'. We cannot keep making ourselves such an easy target of people who are open hypocrites and have media backing.
We need to take the lead and initiative on racial equality, again, not only because of how we'd look but most importantly because it's the right thing to do. Steer it towards something that wouldn't be power grabbing and reverse racism. It would be a better result than the clown world, virtue signaling, race baiting, Antifa/BLM/SJW led movement that we know is more for power and we know won't actually help blacks prosper.
EDIT since so many misunderstood and think I'm advocating caving to liberals. We don't owe African Americans anything. I don't believe we have structural racism. All I'm saying is for me I see no place for the Confederate flag. That's really my point. More openly denounce racism and gain the standing where we can shut down the 1619, affirmative action, reparations talk, etc. As long as we are associated with the Confederate flag etc then large portions of the population are going to blame 'structural raycism' on the struggles of African Americans.

No matter what, they'll call us racist.
I'm not a fan of confederate flag. But, honestly they'd just find another reason to bitch.
If you do anything besides caving to the demands of every black liberal, you're labelled racist.
It doesn't matter.

Blah blah blah...more concern trolling. Either you’re for freedom or you’re not. You know what freedom means at its core? It means that you don’t get to decide everything for everybody. Sometimes people you don’t like and who have views that aren’t exactly in lockstep with yours are going to be on your side.

So well said. There are Conservatives and multitudes of Republicans who believe in making a difference, but would never want what that crowd did on the 6th. 70M voted for Trump but 70M are not the radical right.
Violence is not the way. There are better ways to support conservative action.

Hear me out. I'm from the south but ended up in Hawaii due to the military. 100% voted Trump. Low post count, sure, we all started with low post counts at some point.
You guys are putting words in my mouth. Ie caving to demands of every black liberal. Totally not what I'm saying. That's exactly what I'm not looking for. I'm advocating nothing along the lines of what's being advocated now by the left.
I stated very clearly to control the narrative. Denounce Confederate flags, but teach the truth - think Prager University type stuff.
I don't believe in reparations, affirmative action, critical race theory, 1619 project, any of that BS. Problem is we're headed that way if we don't get in the arena.

So we're clear. I never said go along with anything being pushed by the left. I just said to control the narrative and not to house white supremacy in our movement. That makes me not a conservative?

I'm not going anywhere bro. Get the mods to boot me off for saying we should take the lead on denouncing white supremacy so we can put all this other social justice nonsense away for good

Pretty sure I know what freedom means. You know what being pragmatic means? It means not giving them easy wins. Having served in the military I would lay down my life for someone to own, fly the Confederate flag even though I don't agree with it. That's not the same as saying I want them showing up in our movements.
