That’s the problem with you Ron-or-nothing guys: you want a battle. Trump is the clear favorite preferred by over 60% of republican primary voters. It’s insanity to think Ron can convince 30% of Trump supporters to abandon MAGA. It’s a losing battle you’re fighting.

Aren't there several polls that show Biden beating Trump right now too?

So should we just hang it up and give up altogether, since 2024 is clearly lost in Riverside's opinion?

You old dog you. Life could definitely be worse. You could be in a gay relationship with one of these man-Karens around here, being constantly spoken down to even though you know full well that if anyone should be spoken down to around here it should be them.

A debate requires meaningful disagreement. We don’t have that in the gop when a resounding super majority have indicated they will support Trump. The DeSantis coalition is clearly a small faction within the party. This “battle” you want to wage is a total joke. John Brown’s slave revolt had a greater chance of success.

So you believe polls 9 months before the first votes are cast.

Do you know that in July 2015 Trump was polling around 12% after he had announced?

No polls have been done since DeSantis announced and yet he's still ahead of where Trump was.

None of the polling shows Trump losing by more than 3-5 percentage points to Biden. None of the Trump-Desantis polling I’ve seen is anywhere close to that.

The reality is that Trump is the clear favorite and it’s not even close. There’s no need to fight a “battle” within the gop when the majority of gop voters are clearly happy with Trump.

Yeah yeah, I know, cool story, bro.

I can put up with a lot of crazy Asian woman aggravation in exchange for having a hardcore conservative, Christian wife who isn't going to try and raise our daughter to be trans or whatever the flavor of the week is.

Good luck on changing the polling. I wish you all the luck in the world.

Has it occurred to you that maybe we should just, like...

wait?

We're damn near a year away from anything meaningful taking place, a year of debates and interviews and policy positions. Why are you so in bed with one mortal man that you can't even bring yourself to listen to other possibilities?

Pssh. Yeah right. I’m good on that. Obviously being on this board I’ve got dual expertise in psychology and psychiatry, so I’ve got every answer possible. Oh I’m a shaman too.

You’re a lucky man. Same boat here. Raised and raising damn near perfect kids, all while raising my arse too which is basically equivalent to raising twins with ADHD and a penchant for making bad decisions. It’s funny because it’s true.
