If Russia starts actually losing, you'll see the EU get completely shut off from Russian pipelines.

I'm sure Putin would love nothing less than to have New Russia as a buffer state, but you have to think that any proposal of shutting off Ukraine's access to the Black Sea is a non-starter.
I just can't see the Ukrainians agreeing to stop fighting if they have to give up Odessa and Mariupol permanently.
