I'm not a fan of American news networks. They are the puppets of big business, it's always been this way. But claiming Putin is some arbiter of truth and moral high ground is not grounded in any form of truth. You choose to ignore the hundreds of independent first-hand accounts of the situation in Ukraine in favor of obvious state-led propaganda.
This is all about oil and gas in the Donbas and Northern Black Sea that Ukriane had sovereign rights to extract and sell. Russia could be under-cut in their O&G monopoly exports to Europe. This aligns with Western corporations' interests, hence the media support.
Fact is the argument for/against Ukraine is grounded in whether you believe Ukraine is a sovereign country. Russia does not, the rest of the world does (mostly because it is in their best interests to do so).

I am against the USA playing color revolution in Ukraine. Putin was green lighted under a weak & feckless Biden. Go watch Olver Stones documentaries on Putin and what the USA has done in Ukraine.
It is all shameless.
No one should get excited that Putin is on team America; or possibly anti-globalization reset. Putin is for Putin and is a master of deception just like the USA swamp.
Bottom-line. If Putin played live footage of the USA's corruption in Ukraine as evidence.
The United Nations would still walk out on his presentation.

I usually don’t comment on the loons here but this thread is just too rich. Putin’s advisors told him some divisive buzz words and boogie man’s that rile up the extremes of both political ends so he threw in some stuff about trans people for the right and then threw in some nonsense about slavery and colonialism for the left. The idea is to paint his land grab as some righteous war with the big bad “West” and he throws enough shite at the wall so that you can latch onto something that you hate. No surprise the idiots here fell for it hook line and sinker. Please move to Russia I’d love to hear how it turns out for y’all

What he wants in Russia is to be able to reconstruct the Soviet empire and bring other peoples under his authoritarian mafia rule without interference. All the other bullshite is window dressing mostly for western dupes that are too deep into their own culture war to see the manipulation.
